Be Nice Part Two
I've been watching training videos lately by other WA members. I've been taking the lessons and applying them with good success. I've also blogged about this success.
This morning I posted a blog on the first youtube video I posted and asked for feedback on the video and for members to subscribe to my channel. I did this on the suggestion by another WA member.
About a 30 minutes or less a WA member somewhat rudely in the public post basically told me shame on me for blogging about the video because I was promoting my business. The last line of the message was, "Nice try".
It would have been more appropriate for the person to message me privately and say, "I see your having success with the lessons. That's great. I saw your blog about the youtube video. I don't know if you know or not but it's against WA policy to promote on your blogs unless it's promoting WA. Here is the link to those polices".
I don't know who this person is and if I did I wouldn't mention their name. I'm simply asking him and everyone on WA to again, be nice and be kind. We're all here for the same reason. Some of us have more knowledge than others and some of us started WA before others. We're all at different levels. I don't know everything about WA. I'm still learning. So help, don't criticize.

I agree Rawl. A PM would have been appropriate. We are encouraged to "share" our successes here so it is sometimes difficult to follow the guidelines explicitly.
That being said, I'm sure the "powers to be" will note that you have a rank of 42 at this time. This speaks volumes about what you do to help others.
I guess the place to have put that blog would have been on your website instead of inside WA. I'll keep that in mind, because I also would have been so enthusiastic about placing a video on YouTube that I would have wanted to share that enthusiasm with everyone here.

I was excited but I know now. I can post a video in a blog and ask for feedback but not for subscribers. I get it.

I don't hold it against the entire community. I've only had 2 negative things occur. I guess I'll start blogging more about the help we all receive. LOL
No worries Rawl. You are 100% on point that there are a lot of people here who are learning. No everyone understands all the rules. It is our job as a community to inform. It is not our job to be rude or to put people down.
There is always one or two people who don't know how to deal with others.

Rawl: Whoever it was has not seen the success you had with YOUR video. It was excellent and a real training opportunity for ALL WAers to see. You know every community has a few less than respectful members. They will or they won't get over it. lol DAN
That's a valid point! Unfortunately, you have rude people everywhere and can't control the actions of another! Don't let it get to ya!

Thank you. It's tough putting ourselves out there. Then when you're excited about progress and someone makes that kind of a comment it's upsetting. But it's all good. I'm going to keep moving. I wish that person well and I hope they have great success with WA.

I think it's challenging enough putting ourselves out there. It doesn't hurt to be nice.
