Reading Between The Lines.

Have you found yourself reading between the lines? But realize later there was no message in-between the lines, or rather no intended message. I do that quite a lot. Someone once said I do that because of my inferiority complex.

Not that I knew what that meant but it hit too close to home. I never bothered to ask, but I have learned to know that people with low self-esteem tend to do that, me including

I have read many articles and immediately would feel as if it was written for me no matter how negative the content was.

Good intentions are not an Excuse.

I have always thought I was a good person till I got married. Then I learned that my great intentions are not always seen or read as well. Not everything we say or write is helping? I have noticed how some WA members are rubbed the wrong way. But we learn to know not everything we write will be welcomed with open ears. Sometimes the responses we receive could have something between the lines. Sometimes it is not intentional.

Who is to blame?

Who do you blame for reading what was not mean to be communicated? Surely it is your fault for your Complex and insecurities. What if the intention was there? How would you know?

Whether you know or not, intended or not someone still gets hurt. Each time I write I accept that I might be in the wrong and respond responsibly to my audience.

Are we responsible for words?

You have a good point here, my friend, Ntlhane.
Yes, we should be responsible for our words.
Sometimes we are touched by some of the responses, but it's not intentional. We have to widen our understanding of it. I didn't know if I hurt someone, though, but I hope it's not just part of the discussion, and all are passes and really unexpected sometimes.
Thank you so much for sharing, my friend.

All the best to you as always,
Thanks,
Joyce

Being aware of our words is the least that we can do. Beyond that, we did our best or rather we continue to do our best.

You are most welcome Joyce.

Ntlhane.

Yes, you are absolutely right! Friend Ntlhane.

Thanks,
Joyce
