Organizing The Clutter
I have always felt in some delusional way, that I am an organized person. I buy all the tools to be organized, to help me simplify my work and life. The most important part is to utilize these tools. Which I just realized that I had not, at least not to the full or even half of it’s potential.
I have been feeling a little frazzled lately, and thought this too will pass, I just need to focus more on the takes at hand, get done what needs to be done. Right? Today I sat at my desk with full intentions of diving into some much needed training. To prepare myself I started looking over my notes, in at least 5 different notebooks, not to mention all the sticky notes and half pieces of paper.
That’s when it hit me. BAM! I’m not in the least bit organized, no wonder I can’t get my thoughts straight to work on content for my site. At first I thought “I don’t have the time for this mess, I need to get some work done.” It didn’t take long and I finally figured the only way to get any productive work done was to get organized.

I got out my three ring binder and some clear page sleeves. I then started tearing away at the pages of my note books. I put the pages in categories, to which topic they pertained to. I got out the paper clip tag things :) I thought they were so cute, and would be so useful, not so much when still in the package. I wrote a category on each of the tags, and started putting pages into the sleeves. Wow, it was like being in training :), all the wonderful information and topic ideas that I had totally forgotten about.
I now have this beautiful binder with tags and pages for each category! Easy referencing, all in one place! I also have a rather large pile of paper to discard, clutter.
Point is I feel wonderful and more than ready to get to work. I am feeling way less frazzled also. Crazy how little things such as clutter can not only clutter your work area, but also the mind.
Just take that moment to declutter, whatever it might be, physical or emotional, you’ll be much better for it in the long run.
Here’s to a great day for all of us!!
