Have You Ever Spent 7 Hours On One Post?
FINALLY!
After spending the last two weeks training new employee's for my local business I finally had a chance to work on my website.
Today I spent practically the entire day working on ONE page of my website. I began around 5:30 pm and just got done around 1:00 am. I took about a 45 min break but have been working on my home page for the entire time. Almost 7 hours??? Wow! I'm stressed! lol
I did not only write the article but I inserted images, readjusted lines, headlines and other content.
Lots of work but it will pay off one day I am certain of it.
I certainly would never spend that long regularly on every article that is for sure but since I was working on my main landing page or my home page I needed to spend more time getting all the links correct and such.
I am certain all my other articles won't take me near as long.
HOWEVERDo you find yourself spending a long time writing and article, page or post?
Do you feel it is taking you a very long time to get your content right?
I really want to put out good readable and engageable content but I honestly want to get it out and published first and then tweak it as I go along. Yet I find myself working and working over and over on the same piece of content.
Just wondering if any of you are doing the same.
My main review is up next. I certainly want to make it a piece of art but I sure hope I don't spend 6 hours on one post. Ha!

I am sure it is a great post!
I have never timed myself when writing but I should, sometimes I feel like it takes forever. I mostly start writing and then go back to it at another time, so all the writing is not done at one time.
I will definitely read through it again in a day or two to see if i like the flow, yes. Thanks for commenting Anita!
It can be an issue, sometimes it can take ages, and then sometimes, there is a flow excepting that can be helpful.
I think at times good enough will do, as you say we can tweak, on the go breathing new life into content.

I believe thats the way it will be as i develop a writing schedule. I normally find myself writing the article itself, publish it and then go back another day and add content like images and reread to make sure i like the flow. Thanks for your comment Alex.

I may spend a day researching my post. Then another day writing the post. Then a third day researching keywords and images to sprinkle into the post. I might also read the websites of my competitors to see if I can gain more insight. Finally, I like to allow the post to sit for a day or two, and then come back and rewrite it.
