Let's Make Some Money Together

Well folks it’s that time of year once again.

What Time of Year Am I Talking About?

I’m of course referring to the annual writers’ event known as NaNoWriMo. You see, in the writing world, November is known as National Novel Writers Month.

During the month of November there’s an annual challenge to write a novel in a month. This challenge is to create 50,000 words of content for a novel in 30 days.

Now that you understand what NaNoWriMo is, I wanted to issue my own little challenge for everyone who wants to participate here at Wealthy Affiliate. This challenge is to create 50,000 words of content during the remainder of the month of November for your own websites.

This breaks down to 2000 words of content per day starting today on November 6, 2017.

Yes, it’s a bit daunting.

Yes, it will be quite a challenge.

And yes, I will be participating in it as well.

The Reward?

Well, creating 50,000 words of unique quality content for your own affiliate site will result in quite a bit of additional traffic to your site and ultimately more money for your bottom line.

How Are We Going to Keep Track of All This?

Thanks to Kyle and Carson creating the Site Content platform, keeping track of this challenge is going to be a piece of cake. Every week, I’m going to post my results of content creation in a screenshot here on my blog.

You can see the first of the screenshots below that show I have never used the Site Content platform before and I’ll admit that I’m very excited to start using it now.

Who’s with Me?

Are you willing to step up to the plate and see if you can create 50,000 words of content for your site as well?

If so, stay tuned to my blog feed here at Wealthy Affiliate as I plan to release some training as well as templates that will help you become a faster writer. I am also planning to create some training that will help you come up with ways to get content ideas for your chosen niche.

I’m looking forward to this challenge as I believe it’s going to be a lot of fun and I sincerely hope that some of you here at Wealthy Affiliate will join in for it.

Here’s to completing my Wealthy Affiliate NaNoWriMo challenge and best wishes to all of you with your affiliate marketing endeavors.

Awesome challenge...M

Hope that you decide to join in. I think it's going to be a lot of fun!

I am in! I am already writing up a storm!!

Great to hear! :)

Hi Tony, best wishes as you lay down the challenge. Irv.

Thanks Irv. I hope that you'll consider joining in.

Good luck to you on the challenge. If I hadn't just joined another challenge, I would definitely do NaNoWriMo. I've started it a few times in the past and then life got in the way. Looking forward to reading how this goes for you.

All the best,
Sue

Thanks Sue! Hopefully I can get some results worth sharing here.

This is a tip to you all on this challenge:

A great way to get going fast on this goal is to start on the Guide that Jay talked about a while ago. If you get your guide up and running, you will quickly go towards that writing goal.

Fantastic tip folks! Thank you for sharing that course Steven. I actually forgot about that Live Training and it's a really good one!

Well.. I am not sure if I will manage that one, but I can surely put the goal in for sheer fun and see where I end up at. Crap, I just published a blog at over 2000 words from siteContent yesterday :) ah well.

I use siteContent extremely much so will try this challenge. But I do know that most of my posts are not over the 900 words, so that can become a difficulty. Luckily I got several sites to write for.

Steven

Hey Stephen,

First, thanks for replying to this post and I'm glad to hear that you're on board for the challenge.

If you want to, absolutely include the 2000 word post that you did yesterday. The main thing is to have 50,000 words logged on the SiteContent platform by the end of November.

Also, 900 words will generally suffice for most content you're going to publish on an affiliate niche site.

Don't beat yourself up over your content length too much as the most important thing in my opinion is that you are engaging your audience and maintaining their attention while also informing them about the topic you are writing about.

Sometimes, this can be done with a 500 word post and other times it takes 5000 words in order to get your point across well. The most important thing is that you continue to engage with them and provide information as often as possible.

Thanks again for jumping on for the challenge, and I look forward to hearing all about your success with your content publishing goals.

I've configured my SiteContent as you can see.

I am not using the goals system actively normally lol, but for your challenge I put it up now. Put also a 30 posts count up, as I want to publish for multiple sites.

I support the idea because I have learned in 40 days with WA that inside WA community there are many brilliant minds, clever creative souls, and fast moving hands. So, I would expect some will join in soon. I am ready to observe how this campaign may turn out to be. For the time being, I will a real cheerleader for this event because I know better who I am - a slow typist, still struggling on how to write better English, which is my third language after Taiwanese and mandarin.

Best luck for all participants.

James

Glad to have you here James!

Hey James,

Thanks for the comment and I really appreciate that you're going to be in the background cheering all of us on!

I wish you the best of luck with learning how to become a faster writer in the English language. I know that it can be a very daunting challenge to learn English as an additional language, let alone learn how to write proficiently and quickly in the English language.

Once again thanks for your comment and I hope to see you inside of the threads moving forward with the challenge in the future!

Thanks I remain. Keep in touch and let me know how it may turn out because I really love to know.

James

I'll try to take up that offer! Good idea Tony

Hey Henry,

Glad to hear you're on board for the challenge! I think it's going to be a lot of fun!

While we all get to add quite a bit more content to our sites, we can also do it as a community and help to cheer each other on throughout the process.

Best wishes to you as you begin this challenge with the rest of us!

Thanks! It's going to be rough, but in a fun sort of way
