Becoming The Lead Dog

Being born into a lower middle class construction oriented family has been an experience of mundane existence. Not to saying through the day to day normality I haven't done my best to make it as interesting as possible.

I was married three tines and have four children every one of which has brought a different set of circumstances that had to be handled in their own unique way. But no matter how much I adjusted through each scenario in the long run my station in life did not change. I always seemed to end up in the same place.

I'm not saying I've had a bad life Actually considering everything that has happened along the way my life is just about what you would expect it would be. I've never had a lot of money although I started my first company before the age of forty which was one of the items on my bucket list.

I discovered that owning your own construction company was not what it was cracked up to be. Making more money working for someone else and didn't have to work as hard. The responsibility of having to make sure your employees were kept in steady employment and paid a fair wage regardless of what you were benefiting was too heavy a burden.

Because there are times when the jobs and the money available don't allow for you to make what you and your family need to survive.So I only stayed in business for about a year and a half then I quit. Went back to working for someone else until I was forced to retire due to medical problems.

Leaving me forced to live on what I was being paid from social security, which is not enough to live on comfortably. Wanting to do more than sit around the house and watch reruns I decided to try my hand at making a profit online.

Now, this has been a real eye opening experience as you all know I'm sure. No matter what you hear earning a living online is a horse of a different color. There is no magic button or formula to becoming an instant success. It's a matter of putting in the work and time it requires. Plus the learning curve is totally dependant on the mentoring you receive and effort you put into it.

Then tonight I saw an article written by Yumablogger and he talks about the why. I've been doing this for about two years now and I've been a member of wealthy affiliate since somewhere around September 2018 and I've tried to be the universal student learnning and studying everything pertaining to making a living online.

Most of the time wandering around with information overload. I can't tell you how many times I've heard you have to have a purpose a reason you want to be a success. Lately a very successful lady has been telling me that I need to have a story and a vision that makes me interesting enough to have people want to follow me and grow my popularity into finally achieving my monetary goals.

All of this being absolutely true and necessary there was one thing I forgot and that was the reason why. Yumablogger brought that to my attention with his article. The reason I called this particular blog what I did was my why.

You see if I kept following where and what my life was pointing me to my circumstances would never change. So I decided to take control and become the lead dog because if you're not the lead dog your scenery never changes and if your scenery never changes your perspective never changes.

If you, can change your perspective everything changes. There are things I want to do and see on my bucket list and that will never happen as long I'm not the lead dog. So thank you Yuma blogger this is my why.
