So Very Sad, So Very Honoured
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely peopla at the Great WA Family, as usual, do, so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.
The title says it all really, my dear Wife Yvonne passed peacefully away yesterday morning, as she would have wanted quietly in bed, having been visited by her decoted husband not very long before.
I might as well get the detail over and done with now.
The last three days, she has been asleep all the time, the only fluid being water sponged over her lips, no food at all, she has also appeared to be in some pain as she moaned on occasions, as a result her pain killers were increased almost daily.
I had to get up at 4am to take some tablets for tooth ache, I checked on Yvonne to see that she was still breathing, she was, I got up at 7am, took one look and realised that she had passed away.
Will leave this here, as it becomes involved and personal.
The grief stricken children came and the rest does not need words.
We did all go out last night as is a family tradition, joined by grand children and great grandchildren, they even persuaded me to sing a couple of family favoutites, all in all, it was what I needed after weeks of lack of sleep and worry.
The Last Few Days
This should really read yeaterday afternoon. but before I detail those happenings, I must pay tribute to my dear wife, it was indeed an honour to have been her husband for over firty five years, I could not have wished for a better partner, Mum to my two children and grandchildren they could not have wished for anyone better, before she fell really ill we had a chat and both said that we were in fact a team, that was so very true.
Sometime ago I was aked if I could attend the County Conference as I could be in line for an award. I had asked my daughter to sit with Yvonne, in the event I was able to attend for some of the meeting, During the presentations, I was called last to receive The Gold Badge of the Royal British Legion, which I understand to be the second highest award possible, such an honour for just doing what I love.
It is the first time in the 104 history of our Branch that a member has been awarded this honour, which makes it even more special to me.
During the odd moment which I have had, I have been able to look at some thoughts and ideas, these will now almost certainly be put on hold for a few weeks.
The Next Few Days
These will will be concentrated on the legal bits which are required following Yvonne''s passing, I have meeting in the morning to discuss various bits and peices, with the children.
Conclusion
May I sincerely thank all of you for all of your love, prayers and support over the past few weeks, it has so wonderful and it has helped me a lot, so God Bless you all.
Be Happy, Wealthy and Healthy,
Please take care and stay safe,
God Bless,
Stuart

Hi Stuart,
Sorry to hear the sad news of your wife's passing.
I know that things will be difficult for you over the next few weeks with arranging the funeral and coming to terms with your loss.
Try and spend more time with your adult children, so you can all go through the grieving process together.
Remember and discuss fond memories of the past.
Regards
Brian
Hi Stuart,
I realized over the last few days from your brief appearances in chat that you'd had one difficult day after another and hadn't had much sleep. I wish you lots of strength to get through the next few days.
As Gail says, you no doubt have lots of memories as well as your children and grandchildren for support.
And congratulations getting the Gold Badge of the Royal British Legion.
Sending you lots of good wishes,
Isabella
Hi Isabella,
You are so right about lack of sleep, actually managed eight full hours on Sunday.
We do have lots of wonderful memories.
Stuart

Richard,
The WA Family have helped me through this, been a bit busy, but hopefully I am back.
Stuart
Hi Stuart,
such a tough time for you and your family, my thoughts are with you all.
The only small part that perhaps you can take a little strength from is that she is finally out of pain. And that you have been there for her right til the end.
Please. Stuart take care of yourself even more at this difficult time.
Rob
Rob,
It might cause us pain that she has left us in body, but she no longer is suffering.
Stuart
Sincere condolences Stuart. It must have been a difficult time for you. I know you'll have tried to prepare yourself for this, but no matter how expected it was, you'll still find it a shock.
Take some time to reflect and bond with your kids, you'll need each other. Comfort each other and remember the good times.
Oh, and congratulations on your award.
Regards and much respect,
Dave

Good morning Stuart,
And that's a good thing, Stuart! Keep focusing on the happy memories that you had together; situations like this take time. It's also good that you are a Wealthy Affiliate member who has some really solid interests, this helps to keep your mind fixed on the right things.
Thinking of you at this difficult time.
