More Relaxed
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.
The title really says it all, I have had a much better week in myself, still very tired, but feel more relaxed at the start of each morning, I do realise that time is a great healer, but I will never forget my dear wife, she was just wonderful.
Talking of which, I had another read of the sympathy cards which I had, they did touch a raw spot, but they are really lovely, to thie end the flowers on the coffin are about finished, so I have removed my card and put it with the ones that I have had. The words are still clear as I used a stay fast pen. I have to collect the ashes sometime next week. The children have theirs, they each bought a small urn to keep them in, I will scatter mine on the grave of our last dog, so that they can be together again.
The Last Few Days
I have managed to keep fairly busy, attended two Branch Meetings which I enjoyed, possibly not as much as the two pints of draught Bass, which I had on each night, since Yvonne died I have had a couple of beers and I cannot say that I enjoyed them, so was pleased this week.
It looks like that I could get involved with the eigtieth annuiversary of VE Day, so much for a low profile!! But we will have to see how things pan out.
Pleased to say that my MoT is this Thursday, not last!
Have done some work in the garden, my target of filling the two compost bins has been achieved, I have started to put some rubbish in a black bin liner ready to begin to fill the bins when they have been emptied. There is still an awful long way to go, I did manage to tidy the raspberry bed, which has been neglected for the last couple of years, nearly finished and looking a lot better.
Yesterday we had a great day out at the Football as my youngest Great Grandson came for his first ever visit to a game. Aged just seven he already plays on a Saturday morning, yesterday being named man of the match!
Also continued to sort the stamps out, and I have been looking at some shrubs to order and put into pots, trying to vary the flowering season so that I have something in flower, or colour all year round. Hopefully I will also try to buy ones that have scent.
The Next Few Days
Will continue to work on the garden, also move the rest of the scrap metal which I have so that the scrap man can see it, and hopefully, move it, this will give more space, as well as tidying the place up a bit.
There is so much to do, but doing a little in each area does make it seem as if I am making some progress.
Although it is only just after 1900, I am beginning to feel very tired, so will close for now.
Have a great week,
Be happy, healthy and wealthy.
Please take care and do stay safe.
God Bless,
Stuart

Hi Stuart
Great to hear you are keeping busy, while still relaxing. A propos - I wrote a piece for our retiree association's special edition bulletin on 80th anniversary of the end of WWII. My aunt served in a anti-aircraft battery first in SE England and then after D-Day in Antwerp. Long story.
All the best
Andy
Hi Andy,
Your Aunt sounds like she was some lady.
I was just two when the war ended.
Take care,
Stuart

Good to hear that you have been making steady progress on several fronts and are feeling more relaxed each morning. I have also done a few jobs in the garden and have been enjoying the warmth and the sunshine.
All the best for the coming week.
Isabella
Hi Isabella,
Many thanks for this, good to hear that you are also getting in the garden.
Have a great week.
