Introduction

Good Afternoon to all you lovely people at the great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all both safe and well!

The title was not as intended when I went to bed last night (OK 12.30am), or in fact when I woke up this morning, I lay in bed thinking of what to write this week, and things have changed! Was a little tired when I had showered and shaved, had my breakfast, opened up the computer, when I had done my basic openings, made a coffee, sat in my chair and woke up an hour later. I still feel worn out. But analysing the week can see why! Too much computer and Television, certainly the latter over the last two days.

Despite my nap, my Sunday Dinner is still on course for being on the table around 1300. Did forget to get the desert out of the freezer, so that will have to be eaten later. In fact as it is a Chocolate Gateaux, a slice wil be nice with a cup of tea, mid afternoon!! The main course today is Lamb Shank, roast potatoes and herby roasted root vegtables served with minted gravy!!

The Past Few Days

I had intended that the title this week would reflect what I had done, as until today I have had quite a decent week!

Needed to pick up my medication from the local Town on Monday, did some freezer shopping on Wednesday, went to the supermarket on Friday, so that was three walks in a week into Town, which is just over a mile or so away, find the new shopping trolley an absolute boon. I doubt if I could have carried the shopping on Friday, especially up this fairly steep hill.

By the time that I went up to the shop for my paper yesterday I was stepping out quite well, the exercise must be doing me good.

I have spent sometime going through some material which I have ready to work on one of my websites, also studying AI, as I feel as long as I use my own voice it could be very useful. In fact I have used it to produce a book, which is about gluten free baking, my grandson's partner is gluten free, so I have done it for her, needs another proof first, but the cover is really good. Could even try to sell it on Amazon!

Mentioning my Grandson, thank you to all who sent prayers and thoughts, he is out of bed and on soft food.

Reading the above regarding the book think that I can feel some more books being produced, but as always we will have to see!

The last two evenings have seen be totaly relaxed watching television, Friday there are a coupl of programmes that I really do enjoy, Saturday was of course sport, football followed by American Wrestling, it does make me laugh, which why I watch it.

I will go and see too the dinner, if it ready to serve will finish this off after I have eaten.

That was really nice, unfortunately, the Gateaux is not quite ready.

The Next Few Days

Feel that the most importent thing will be to play with some of my material, learn more about AI, repurpose a lot of the articles which I have and see where we go from there!

Please excuse more this week as I feel another nap coming on!!

Be happy, healthy and wealthy.

Please do stay safe and take care.

God Bless!

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

A late and brief reply today. I've been busy with family since Friday. My son, whom I don't see very often, has been here for four days, and my daughter joined us as much as possible too, so I didn't get around to reading blogs.

But I am really glad that your grandson is getting better.

You are getting plenty of exercise walking to the shops in town and back up the hill, so you deserve your lovely meals and puddings. And a nap on a Sunday probably does you good as well.

Your cookery book sounds interesting - yes, you could look into publishing it on Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). There are several blog posts with instructions on how to go about it. I am just in the process of signing up with them and publishing my first book. (I aim to have it out by the end of this month).

Hope you've had a good start to this week.

Isabella

Hi Isabella,
Pleased that you had your son and daughter about, families, are so very important to us, more so I think as we get older!

It has been a quite start to the week sorting out files, if the sun stays Out I might do half an hour in the garden cutting shrubs back, watching my line of washing blow in the wind.

Good luck with your book and thanks fro the advice.

Have a great week,

Stuart

Sun and wind still out - blowing my washing about as well.

I'll let you know how my book and Kindle Direct Publishing goes. It's learning to format it all correctly that is taking the time now - and not my favourite part of the job.

Take care.

Isabella

Many thanks Isabella, look forward to hearing how it all goes.

Be good.

Hey VH

Your title scared my this week. I thought something happened to your grandson! Whew. Glad to hear he's doing better but is he home yet? Did they find out the cause?

I thought after the holidays, I'd have more free time but somehow it is now Jan 19th and I haven't slowed down. Today and Friday are my only days home to do taxes (which I'm procrastinating on obviously), laundry, cleaning, etc. How does time go so fast now? I think I was able to get more done in the house and online when I was working a 6-6 job!!!

Anyway, I have been a sloth late at night when I'm too mentally and physically exhausted to do anything else. I can't seem to figure my new TV out. I have everything hooked up the way it was on my dead TV but I still can't get my cable channels. I don't have the time to play with it right now so late at night, I found a baking channel that is not on my cable plan. The judges are English and they have the contestants make the most outrageous things which reminds me of you. I have to look up most of the desserts that you talk about same as when I'm watching this baking channel. It's fun but must be an English thing.

It sounds like the walking IS doing you good physically and mentally. I read stories of people very active in their late 90s past 100 and they all say the same thing. You MUST move and have a reason to get up in the morning!!! They seem to talk about that more than the food they eat.

So, while it's not moving, I must take a deep breath and get my paperwork together for my taxes. It's such a DREADED task! It doesn't help that I have problems with where some of my tax dollars are going. Oh, if I could just be Queen for a day........lol!!!!!

You have a great week and keep up the walking and creating.
Always
Your VW

Hi VW,

Realised after I had posted it that the title could be misleading, so sorry to have caused any panic!!

Not sure when he is coming home, the cause appears to have been caused by a blocked colon, a throwback to when he was born with a diaphramatic hernia.

Spent sometime trying to sort out some of the material which I have amassed over the years, like you I am struggling to get going this week!

When I finish writing to you and my coffee I hope to have a few minutes in the garden trimming some shrubs back, the snow bent quite a few over.

When I am happywith my book, have the germ of an idea for another one! Must stop thinking so much!!

Have a great week.

As always,
Your VH

Thank you

Sounds like a very full (and tasty!) week, Stuart
Three town walks, a new trolley, AI experiments and lamb shank with minted gravy. No wonder a nap snuck up on you!

Glad to hear your grandson is improving, and I love the idea of a gluten-free baking book (purely for research… and cake).

Rest well, enjoy that gateaux later, and keep doing what you’re doing. It’s clearly working

Many thanks for your kind comments.

Your welcome

Your meals sound so tasty, Stuart! I am guessing that's the difference between the UK and the US: the land of over-processed garbage in our grocery stores.

Parting with your auto was the best thing to do. Now you can walk miles a week which helps to maintain your health, and work off the Gateaux. LOL

Press on, Sir!

4

Hi Howard,]

Thank you for your comments, think that regarding food, I am able to buy fresh or recently frozen.

Certainly do enjoy walking, I do have to be careful, but I am able to think about the business and many other thing.

Have a great week.

Stuart

Yes, Stuart!

I do the same in our grocery stores: I look for fresh organic food choices and avoid the processed garbage that litters the grocery isle: shop the outside of the store has been my rule for years.

You have a blessed week, too!

Many thanks.
