So I replied to two website posts, and by right I should get two credits, but now they say that I don't have any credits to request for comments. Why is that so?

Hey Jiale,

If you comment under the SiteComment section (see screen print below) of WA then you will receive credits for commenting.

However, if you simply visit someone's website and leave a comment, there is no way to provide you with credits that way.

Hope this helps you.

Yep, I used the site comments, and it has been working out for me for quite some time. I believe this is just a bug and I want to see if there are any that experiences the same bug as me.

I've got my credits now that I check, so maybe it's just a long delay. Thanks for the answer though! :)

Most likely a delay, because I THINK the comments need to be accepted BEFORE credits are applied... in case the comments are not accepted.

Hmm, perhaps, but I usually get the credits right after I submit the comments. In any case, it's all well now!

Hey Rachel, I would look for tips and ideas from ezinearticles and from WA platform and maybe this post can give you some ideas :

o.o What an amazing post! Thanks for sharing this link, Carol!

You are welcome, glad you like it, awesome. :)

I put together a brief outline of what I want to write. I add the keywords where I think they should go and then flesh out the sentences.

Hm. That might work for me too, I think. Thanks for the suggestion!

You can put forth key words and strategies in storytelling form and have some knowledge and are willing to research a topic. At that point you can write about virtually any subject. I have no trouble switching variety in my posts.

That sounds really interesting. I ain't a good storyteller, though, so I guess I may face some problems with this suggestion of yours.

I like to write naturally for the reader and find that I have no problems with the KW then, as they fit the content without any problems :)

Well, maybe my skills are not as well honed as you then :P

Looks like I have to work harder! xD

Lol, I didn't mean it to sound like that!! I'm a full-time freelance writer so it probably does come easier to me. :)

The best way for me is to write experiences I have had that day and make them interesting. Embellishing to make a story bigger than it is and entertaining as well as informative.

Ah, yes, this is also one of the ways to get the gears started. It's almost always easier to write about something that one has experienced before than starting on a fresh topic, do you think so too?

Absolutely, what I have just experienced I don't have to think about nor fish for ideas...

Hey, Rachel

The good news is, you've got more than enough content for rankings and traffic. So when the problem is fixed, you should start getting some traffic :)

There are a few things you can try:

1: I noticed that you're not internally linking to other posts/pages within your content. This contributes to rankings. :)

2: Login to your Google Webmaster Tools acount to double check for any errors. Google will always notify you of errors if something needs to be fixed. (Providing you have a sitemap set up and have linked it to GW Tools).

3: Go back through Kyle's SEO plugin training to double check you haven't accidentally selected an option you shouldn't have.

4: Go back to the begining of Course 1 (lesson 1) and follow all the training a second time to ensure you haven't missed anything important. A pain in the ass, I know! LOL.

5: Re-check all of your blog's settings to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Having a lot of troubles with my old blog, the obvious problem usually stares you in the face, lol.

Neil

Thanks for all the suggestions, Neil.

Indeed, if I still don't get traffic, I'm going to re-start the training from scratch :/ Is there a ways to uncheck all the certification at once? lol :P

More current posts do have links to other posts. Earlier ones don't, though, because of the lack of content, and I will be editing them again.

Google Search Console didn't alert me of any errors, but I'll head around there to see what I can find out. Didn't think about this xD

I'll inform you when I get the problem fixed :)
(or if I need more help x_x)

That is really strange because your content looks fantastic, is very thorough, and has everything you would need to have a successful website.

When I punch your website into SEMRUSH.com, it is only showing that you are ranking for 11 keywords within the first 10 pages, but I do see on google that you have about 75 indexed pages.

It sounds to me like something went wrong or needs to be fixed, because with 75 pages of content you should be rankings for at least several hundred keywords.

Thanks for the help!

Perhaps it's they way I did my keywords that went wrong. I'll head back to edit it from page/post 1 x.x

Hey Tania, Thanks for taking the time to help me out again xD I seem to be posing a lot of trouble for the kind souls like you.

I'll definitely check out Yeost SEO. From the way you put it, I think I'll have it changed by tomorrow, lol :D

AWESOME........JUST DONT FORGET TO "IMPORT" YOUR SETTINGS XOXOXO KEEP ME POSTED.....

I AM ALWAYS HAPPPY TO HELP IF I CAN OXOOX TO YOU AND YOURS

To have traffic you must be ranked, there is no other wisdom here.

I had a look, hard to say what the problem is. Do you use keywords properly, in places which are accepted as best practices?

'Children of Tiger Parents' is in the title and url but not in the first paragraph.

The same with 'Why Are Parents Overprotective'.

With so many posts you should have a descent traffic. Something is wrong.

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll go check on my posts and make amendments to some of them.

And yeah, I thought something was wrong, that's why I came to ask ._.

Hi Rachel,
I'm wondering if the problem could be in your all-in-one-seo plugin settings...I'm not sure if you've watched the videos from Jay about these, but maybe this will help There's also a box in the settings somewhere in the all in one seo (if I remember correctly) that if checked, it discourages search engines from finding your site. So, make sure it's not checked.

I looked at your site for a bit and read through some of it, and I think you're doing great so far with it...very interesting in fact! So, it's either something in your seo plugin settings, the keywords used, or it could be the theme, although I think it looks and works fine.

One thing that might improve it is to move your "About Me" (which is excellent) from the Home page and put it as a separate page altogether. Then make a Home page that points out all the things people will learn from your site, problems that parents/children have with each other...people are always in the "what's in it for me.." when looking at a website for the first time especially...so, point it out on the homepage what they'll get out of it such as problems they'll solve or things they'll learn from it.

I hope you don't mind or take offense... I think it might help, but it's all up to you...I'm just adding my thoughts on what might help to improve your traffic. I'm also wondering about your keywords...I didn't get a chance to look through the whole site, but are you using them in your title on your posts?
It's a good idea to include the keyword in the title and also in the first paragraph if possible... I usually try to find a keyword with at least 50 searches, but less than 100 QSR.

I hope this helps you out some....I think your site looks awesome, and is definitely interesting, so keep up the great work on it. If you have any questions, or need help with anything just ask. I'd be happy to help if I can.

Best wishes :) ~Sherry

Oh my, Sherry, this must have been hard work on your part.

I'll definitely go through the training by Jay tomorrow. It's a bit late over here now. Jvranjes had mentioned that my usage of keywords may be a problem too, and I will definitely look into it. All the keywords are in the title of the posts, but they're not necessarily in the first few paragraphs of the post, so it may be a problem.

As for your suggestion for a home page, I'll think about what to write and draft it out nicely :) I realized now that maybe it wasn't really too appropriate for the About Me page to be the Home Page too, lol.

Thanks for taking the time to help, Sherry!

You're welcome and it was no problem! I like to help if I can and I did enjoy reading on your site...so, it had me puzzled as to why this is happening to you...it shouldn't be.
Let us know how it goes or even send me a PM if you need anything.
Best wishes :) ~Sherry

Two main things:
1. Are you targeting the right audience. What does Google analytics say about audience demographics and desires.
2. How engaging is your content. Do you reach the deep seated desires of your core customer and if necessary enhance them with guarantees and credibility.

I didn't have demographics enabled until you mentioned about it (I didn't know what was it, so I didn't dare to tamper with it)

As for the 'right audience', my target audience are those that are keen to improve their relationship with their parents/children. Personally, I think that my content is engaging, that's why I have them out in the first place. But whether or not they reach the desires of them, I'm really not sure. I can only say that every post that I had out is either from my first-hand experience, or from the situations that I see around me.

You say, I can only say that every post that I had out is either from my first-hand experience, or from the situations that I see around me. so you personally experienced what you have written about in your content. You need to communicate with the people who visit your site

I did 'communicate' with the people in the comments section that I got by SiteComments. But I don't have any comments apart from them, so I couldn't communicate with anyone else (or no one else to be exact)

Hi Wilderi, I checked it out as well using both parentchildbond.com and www.parentchildbond.com in google and it's coming up fine in both for me...however, the one with the www prefix wouldn't show up in the results unless I clicked on the "search instead for www.parentchildbond.com"

I'm seeing about 16 posts/pages listed in Google's search results so far. Not sure why they aren't showing up for you...maybe try clearing your browser history/cache would be of help. It may be showing you "old" results.

About using the www or not....I knew there's a video here for that so I looked it up. It's a training from Kyle However, Google Webmaster Tools has changed to Google Search Console now. I'm not sure where you are in your training, but this might help answer your question. If you're not that far yet, save it for when you get to it in the training. Hey Sherry,

Thanks for answering this question, but I have managed to set the preferred domain with the help of Tania :)

Hi,

If you use the google search function of inurl, you will see 7 listed (today).

inurl www.parentchildbond.com

Perhaps, you need to check that your seo plugin is set up correctly? Are they published? And have they been bookmarked?

I'm pretty sure the SEO plugin is set up correctly and they are all published (I pretty much got a comment for each post I have up there), but what do you mean by bookmarked?

Hi, here is a brilliant article which carefully explains what bookmarking is and why it is important:

Thanks dear. I'll take a look now and start learning.

Okay......I'm a bit confused lol. It looks like my website's url is actually parentchildbond.com, not www.parentchildbond.com, because when I search site: in bing, the former showed almost all the posts I had

But google, no matter which one I use to search with site, showed little to none of my pages :/ so I don't get what's wrong here.
