What's your why?

This was the first question that was presented to me on one of my first (of many) business seminars. What is your why for making more money? I found this question very exciting, but also kind of confusing. The only answer I could come up with when asked this was, freedom. Then, they dug a little further. Yes, but WHY do you want freedom?

I was midway through nursing school at the time, and was invited to a business seminar mid-week. Up until this point in my life I had worked hard at any job you could think of since the age of 8. But I always knew there was something more and in my heart knew I was not truly a nine to fiver, like everyone else, it seemed, around me.

So I got the invitation and went to this meeting. My mind was literally blown by people talking about money and energy and manifestion. When one of the presenters tapped his forehead and said "if you can see it in here you can have it" I knew right then and there, that somehow, some way, I was going to develop an income for myself that would allow me to live life without struggle, "trading time for dollars", and most importantly, on my OWN terms.

From that moment on, the journey of researching how things are created and manifest in our lives began for me. And it's been something I continue with learning to this day... that was 18 years ago.

And through all the years of studying this material and researching online platforms and opportunities I have often fallen short in uncovering the ultimate online money making opportunity. That is, until I came across Wealthy Affiliate. Once I saw this opportunity, my mind was blown once again and I needed to investigate further. That was 3 years ago and I continue with it faithfully to this day.

This is an amazing community of entrepreneurs and educators making money online and helping others to do the same. People supporting one another and providing rich resources to make the online community a better place. As well as providing opportunities for those like us, who wish for more than the 9 to 5 drudgery, should that be your mission.

And to be clear I'm not throwing shade on 9 to 5 jobs. I happen to have one that I like very much and provides well for me and my family. But with me, jobs have always had a shelf life. I love them for a while, until I don't. Then I move on to something else. Why? Jobs, no matter how great some of them were, never truly gave me the flexibility to live life on my own terms. There is always an awareness, that as long as I have a job, I will ALWAYS be accountable to someone, somewhere at a certain time. Just...no.

I love this business community. I love Wealthy Affiliate and I especially love making money every month from it. Is it a ton? At this point no, but it's increasing all the time and I know, that my dreams of making money online and attaining the freedom, choice and Independence that inevitably comes with that, is clearly in my grasp. This is going to be a good year and I hope you all join me on this amazing ride.

I live and breathe the subject of manifesting and creating the life of my dreams. Why? I have seen major results in my life and it has become my mission to make sure others know this as well. I'm passionate about learning and knowledge and want to see everyone get what they want. Truly.

Turns out, the question of "What's your why" is not so confusing to me after all.
