Confusion
Hey, everyone, I have been working on a few problems with my site, and I could use your help with the mailing list. When I tried to set up Mailchimp, the chimpanzee started throwing fruit at me. As a result, I made a banana smoothie. The drink was great but did not resolve the problem.
I added SumoMe to my site; three join my newsletter boxes appeared on my footer. I finally got it down to only one box after contacting their support line.
Do I need to add Mailchimp to SumoMe? Will he grow into a gorilla?
I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Patty

I wish I could help, but my knowledge of primates is sorely lacking. I'm sure glad you made a good drink out of the throwing fruit episode. I'm sorry you are having this trouble. I'm glad you aren't going ape over the whole thing. Hope you get it all sorted out soon. :-)
Here are alternatives to Mail chimp to consider. https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-cheaper-better-alternatives-to-MailChimp
I find it easier just to download the emails I capture to a spreadsheet and then upload them to MailChimp.

Or you just add a signup form of Mailchimp itself in a sidebar widget. Copy the code of the list you create on mailchimp and put it into the widget.
Thanks Heidi
I did that and somehow the newsletter came up on the widget.
So you have resolved?
I have been working at the salon all week and plan to get it straight hopefully Sunday. It has been so confusing to me. I appreciate your help Heidi.
Good luck with all the things we need to learn!
Thanks!
