Good Evening, or Morning, depending on where you live. I have been doing a lot of reading on Website design and themes, and also about SEO.

Two Questions for You.

1. Have you ever changed themes, and if you did, did you pay for a new and different theme?

I changed my theme today, but to another In House Wordpress Theme.

2. This is a SEO question based on the following statement. Not linking could be the #1 SEO mistake that people make. Try to use between two to four outbound links for every 1000 words. Make sure to link out to authority sites whenever you can.

So what do you think?

I link to Wikipedia in every post one or two times, but according to this, I should link out to other authority sites.

Please give me examples what you would consider to be authority sites. I am promoting Wealthy Affiliate and wonder what authority sites I could use for outbound links.

Thank You so Much!

Phil

I changed to the Generate press theme and do not seem to have any problems. If you search in the training section I do recall a training post/video on how to change themes and what to watch for.
I am not sure about the Wikipedia link, I would think that they are good but I would try not to use them exclusively. Just thinking.

I did change my theme.

Yes, I have changed Themes. Now, I am using the paid version of Generate Press.

I follow @ExpatMark’s guideline of 500 words per link.

Thanks for posing the questions, Phil. I will watch with interest to see the answers. I'm a little (maybe a lot) green to be offering such opinions.

There are so many free themes to choose from, I would go that route first. I've changed mine a couple of times.

As for links... links to other related posts on your site first and then outside but as ExpatMark says, not more than one or two. Kyle has said that internal links are good for Google rankings.
