It's Slowly Sinking In That I Don't Need to Keep Re-Inventing the Wheel!
When it comes to computers, I'm used to having to figure everything out the hard way.
I took a class once that taught me the difference between hardware and software, but that was pre-internet when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, so it isn't very relevant at this point.
And I designed a coulple of websites over the years, using block-builder web apps,I but I didn't really know what I was doing. I still don't, for that matter.
Learning about computers has been a lot like beating my head bloody against a brick wall. I must really like computers, because I keep doing it over and over. Slow progress has been made. But, that was before I came to Wealthy Affiliates.
I've been greedily eating up the training here. It has been answering questions I have had for years about the mysterious magic of SEO.
It made me brave enough to attempt to develop a landing page by coordinating between Wealthy Affiliate and MailChimp. Oh my gosh!! What the heck is a DNS anyway????
But after the familiar blood gushed out of my forehead for most of the wee hours of this morning, I got a bright idea and searched for Mail Chimp Landing Page in the black search box at the top left of my page. UP POPPED a training on that exact topic! How could it be so easy??? Another affiliate had done it before me and left a training like bread crumbs in the wilderness.
The training was a little different than what I was trying to do, but it answered enough of my questions that I figured it out in the next ten minutes!
I am not used to being in this together with all of you. We are not alone! We don't have to keep re-inventing the wheel! I'm so glad to feel like I have found a real home.
I still don't know what a DNS is but I learned that I don't have to, and if I ever do, one of you guys will explain it to me.

Hi Lisa
I've had similar experiences. Hitting my head against a wall for hours. Google searches to find solution. Not actually really understanding the problem. And then finally doing a search in WA - and hey presto - up pops a training or two or three. And problem solved. Then sometimes digging into the memory recesses - I was forgetting that years ago I plodded through a course on html and all of a sudden I realized why my Amazon widgets weren't working. So it goes.
Cheers
Andy
I'm glad to know I'm not alone. The whole head-beating process is by its very nature a lonely road and it is really wonderful to have met all of you like-minded souls!!

Well done, I struggle to. It certainly helps being here.
