Don't Change Your Title!
Edu (TopAchiever) just did a blog about having your blog deleted for violating the rules at WA. You can read it at https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/topachiever/blog/t... If you overstep your bounds, all your viewers will see is an "Oops!" message similar to that shown below -
Another way to lose your blog, tutorial, or question...
Note that overstepping the rules at WA isn't the only way to lose your work though. Once you've hit the "Publish" button, the system assigns a URL to your blog, your training, or your question - and that URL is base on the title (or question) you've written.
If you decide to edit your work, and change the title as part of your editing effort, you've just changed the URL. Anyone hunting for your original masterpiece will be replaced with the "Oops!" message you see above.
Don't change the title once you've hit "Publish"!
You can change your headings, add or remove pictures, or even completely delete and re-write your blog, add steps to your training or change the video,... you get the idea. Any edit is fair game after you've published - just not the title.
There is no way to use a redirect or work some other magic once you've changed the title. The announcement has gone out to the membership at WA - and it has a non-working URL.
Avoid the hassle - don't touch the title once you've published!

Greetings Jovo!
I'd like to believe that by sharing, we'll all avoid mistakes in the future.
My problem is that I seem to have a talent for continually finding new mistakes to make!

I'm glad I saw this... I had considered changing one of my blog titles, but I was afraid something like this might happen. It's good to know for sure. Thank you!
Hello Bee!
Glad to hear you held off changing the title. Being a perfectionist has its perils. At the risk of dating myself, at times it's best to follow the Beatles' advice, and just Let It Be ;)
Don't take time away from your blogging, but we're all hanging fire - waiting on that "To be continued... " at the bottom of your profile ;)
Dennis
Wait, you actually read my profile all the way to the 'To Be Continued'?? Wow, I'm flattered!
I'm making good progress, and hopefully I'll be writing up that edited profile soon... but not quite yet. The cliffhanger continues. ;)
Oh, I know all about the perils of being a perfectionist, trust me. The trick is to remember not to let it get under your skin so much that it ruins your day - not worth it. Take heed everyone: Paul McCartney's dead mother gives good advice.
Thank you Dennis. I am one that would do it to try to correct a typo. Appreciate you pointing this out. ~Gina
Hi Gina!
Ah yes - the infamous typo correction.
I have to resist the urge to correct spelling and punctuation errors (or omissions) - and hope the error make the post more memorable.
It's a stretch, but that's my poor rationalization for letting the error go ;)

Excellent expansion on the subject! Thanks Dennis! :-)
Hi Edu!
Glad to hear from you here.
I thought about putting "Part 2" on the title to further emphasize the expansion on what you'd written - but resisted the urge to change the title ;)
Dennis
Thanks for being a sport and including my link in your post! May your Pay It Forward bring back much to you! :-)
