My First Share-a-Sale Commission

It's been over a month since I've logged in to any of my affiliate accounts. I wrote one article last month. I have lots of excuses, mostly having to do with being extremely sick and tiring myself out back and forth from hospitals and doctors, and fighting with insurance companies.
Anyway, I've been popping in and out of WA trying to get some motivation to sit here longer than two minutes and continue making a go of this thing. And while I wait to rebuild stamina, I have been having a great time all over Instagram, learning the ins and outs of that little social media wonder. I am going to have some great training coming forward if I ever feel up for it.
As I've been doing this, I have noticed increased traffic to my webite that I generally keep in my Instagram profile when I'm not sharing an affiliate link. But I hadn't really thought to check my affiliate links - I've just been so tired.
Then tonight I somehow got the gumption and slowly started going through my affiliate programs. I didn't find much traffic in Amazon so I didn't get hopeful. Then I'm jumping onto Share-A-Sale, which I had yet to make a commission on the entire time I've been blogging....and voila.

Someone spent $54 through a banner link of a store I promoted, after finding an article I had written in February (6 months ago) about Mother of the Bride dresses. The banner itself was promoting a unique dress store that I love, and the article was about dresses so it was a great collaboration.
As always, I am ecstatic to learn new ways I can actually make money and get traffic - although I can honestly say I am unsure where this traffic directly came from. It doesn't really matter.
I have not been promoting my site or working on comments or writing new content for a while, so it's just amazing that I could still make money, and just fills me with hope for what I can do when I get back moving.
I hope to be back in the game soon.
Best wishes and inspiration for anyone who is needing a little faith that they are on the right path here. It works even if you have to take it one minute at a time for your health, being a parent, having a life, or whatever else might sometimes get in the way.
This isn't to say it is a slow process for everyone. I know some of you really take heart to that because it can be done quickly.
This is just my comfort for people like me, who may need to take things one day at a time. Thank you all for being a part of this journey.
