Do the "I Got 4 Clicks" Dance

It's the little things you have to celebrate whenever you get the chance.

I have so many affiliates to keep track of (helpful hint for past self, it might have been simpler to stick to one - don't go crazy) and I just checked on in Awin who I signed up with to promote Etsy back before it was on Share-a-Sale.

Anyway, I was checking up on the traffic from an article I wrote a short while back that was pretty Etsy-focused and I got 4 clicks!

It's a start, right?

And it's good to know that something was achieved so I can go back and do it again but bigger and better this time.

Also, I think it's nice not to focus on the metrics for a while, because it can get depressing looking at 0...0...0...0...0...day after day - although that does make the days you get ...1...feel like Disneyland!

I would recommend checking once every few weeks...maybe...in the beginning.

Just don't worry about it because at one point you'll be flying along and you'll check the stats and suddenly find yourself doing the

4 CLICKS HAPPY DANCE!!!

Am I right?

Congratulations...it's more helpful to do the work than constantly checking stats. But always a nice surprise when you do.

Yes I agree that 4 clicks is better than 0. Congrats!!!

Congratulations Jaime! I don't have too many affiliates yet. I pretty much focus on Amazon. I have others but don't get many sales from them.

I hope you are doing well in general.

I fully agree. Anyone standing up a new website should install Google Analytics on day one, but never open it again until at least 1-3 months in. That's my two cents at least. I wish I had looked at it like that :).

Congrats on your 4 clicks!
