Now is the time to build Good Health!
We have that childhood association with the word good health. It has become a custom to seek blessings or an invitation from the elders, wishing for good health and longevity. One of the sayings about good health heard in the back of textbooks or as advice is – “Health is the root of all happiness”.
But the sad reality is that far from adhering to the rules of good health, taking care of one's health is a luxury for many of us in today's busy world. Are the well-known sayings learned in childhood just for the sake of saying?
If you want to have the wealth of good health, you have to take care of your health. Some rules must be followed!
What is Good health?

I bet eight out of ten people would answer the question, "What is good health?" wrong. Either they say to remain free from any kind of disease is good health or a visible nice body means good health.
The main reason for this is that we do not have enough knowledge about it. Is good health just physical fitness?
The World Health Organization's definition of good health includes physical health as well as mental and social well-being. That is, good health is a person's physical, mental, and social well-being, which is easy to maintain by following certain rules!
Ways to build Good health and longevity:
Good health and longevity are interrelated. Since health is essential in our life, we must take care of some aspects to keep it right. Here are some ways to maintain physical fitness. Most of you know this. But just knowing is of no use. Knowing them should be brought into practice. I am here to remind you of the ways to build good health.
Exercise:
There are many exercises to build a fit and muscular body! But good health does not mean a muscular body.
You can start your exercise with a simple walk. Just walking for 10 minutes every day improves performance and digestion. It can be a walk with friends in the afternoon, it can also be on the way to school and college in the morning.
Sufficient water intake:
It is very important to fulfill the daily water requirement of the body. Digestion, proper functioning of internal organs, everything needs water. In addition, water helps to keep the skin healthy, and removes waste materials from the body.

Light-air:
We all know sunlight has vitamin D - which helps our bodies absorb calcium, and build strong bones. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to many diseases. Vitamin D prevents osteoporosis or bone loss. Moreover, a light and airy place improves our mental health and also helps to strengthen the body.
Proper Sleep and rest:
Sleep should never be neglected. Remember that no matter how busy life is, the body must rest. Studies have shown that a person's brain begins to suffer after just a few nights of sleep deprivation. If you sleep properly then you will be sure of your good health and longevity.
Natural foods:

Organic Fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and grains are best for the body. Commercial pieces of bread claim to be 'whole grain' but most of them contain added sugar and preservatives. Try to avoid them.
Some effective tips to maintain good health!
So far we have learned some important ways to build good health. Now the question is How to maintain good health?
Along with the above basic rules, we can easily maintain good health by making some small habits.
So let's know some effective tips to maintain good health!
1) Beware of the evil cycle of rice:
An average ratio of rice to curry is common. Rice more curry less or curry more rice less - this often happens while eating with many of us. Many people overeat in this rice and curry balancing game.
As a result, the weight increases! You have to get out of this habit. If too much curry is taken carelessly, it is better to eat it alone without taking extra rice.
2) Eye relief in 20-20-20:
At this time in the 21st century, people are very much dependent on machines. It is now a very common and familiar scene to spend all the time staring at the smartphone, tab, or working continuously on the laptop, or desktop.
Even concerns about good health and longevity cannot easily bring about change. It damages eyesight. Glasses are now a daily companion for most of us. And so, it would not be wrong to call this generation a short-sighted generation.
Continuously sitting and staring at something is very harmful to the eyes. You can use a strategy to reduce the risk of this damage! This technique is called the “20-20-20 Rule”.
In this case, while looking at something continuously, practice looking at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes. This will reduce the pressure on the eyes.
3) Save Money. Save Health. Buy a Bicycle:
Buy a bicycle, you will see that exercise is done automatically. Cycling is one of the most effective forms of exercise. This cycle can play a very important role in losing weight and maintaining good health. A bicycle can be relied upon as a means of transportation for commuting as well. In that case, the bicycle will save money spent on the rent of your travel.
4) Walking is the most useful exercise:

Among all physical exercises, walking is the easiest and most suitable and effective exercise for everyone. Nowadays we all more or less take transportation services from online ride-sharing apps to save time. While calling a ride from the app, if you call a little far from your location, even if you walk that distance, it will be very beneficial for the body.
But when it comes to going somewhere, we are all in a rush to reach on time. So taking the risk of walking then is particularly foolish. In case of returning home from class or the office, since there is usually no rush to return on time, that time can be used for walking. If you have to get into the vehicle alone, try to walk at least a little way and then get into the vehicle. By doing this, your exercise quota will be fulfilled.
5) Is good health in the elevator or the stairs?
Many of us need an elevator to go up to the second floor. Even for the sake of our own good health, we should get out of this bad habit. Climbing stairs is good exercise. It is better to take the stairs instead of the elevator unless it is very necessary.
6) Say no to the 'Three White Poisons':
Sugar, salt, and rice - these three jewels of the diet are called 'Three White Poisons'. If we take more than necessary, these white poisons will become a threat to our health like poison. Sometimes these elements cause long-term ailments like high blood pressure and polyuria. Therefore, it is very important to be careful while taking these three white terrors as food. Keep as little as possible in the diet.
7) Another name of water is life:
One of the reasons why water is another name for life is that water helps us in digestion and metabolism. Drinking water half an hour before meals reduces our food intake significantly, which helps maintain weight.
According to the tradition of many religions, for the sake of our good health, one-third of the stomach should be filled with food, one half with water and the other half should be kept empty. One of the secrets to good health and longevity is drinking water in moderation.
8) Opt for smaller sized plates:
Reduce the size of the food plate. Choose smaller size. Today's latest idea is this. This will reduce the size of the plate as well as the amount of food you eat. Large plates of food easily lead to overeating.
Again, if the quantity of food is given less on a big plate, it looks spectacular. But if the size of the plate is small then this is not visible. So, choose small plates while eating. You will see that the size of the stomach will also decrease.
9) Checkmate in ten minutes:
It is possible to do some freehand exercises in the office chair or in the school grounds within ten minutes. This ten-minute exercise concept will help you exercise while sitting at the office. And complete your exercise quota with a seven-minute workout at home.
10) Now reverse the reverse rule:
As per the convention, most of us only eat breakfast. Some people avoid the trouble called breakfast. Then eating heavy in the afternoon and eating till the throat at night became the daily routine. This irregularity breaks all the rules of good health and longevity.
And because of this, various physical diseases including obesity are increasing alarmingly. But the real rule is to eat like a king in the morning, like a commoner in the afternoon, and like a beggar at night.
That is, breakfast should be given the most importance. Because our brain starts working after this breakfast. Therefore, for the sake of good health, this conventional rule of eating and drinking should be reversed. Regular irregularity with health sometimes brings many dangers.
So, it is more important to take care of your health! Follow these strategies from today to stay healthy, active, and energetic. Remember, taking care of your health is not a luxury, it is a necessity!
Therefore, for the sake of possessing good health and a beautiful mind, take care of your own health.
Thanks for your time and maintain good health is a serious issue today because a lot of people around the world irrespective of their age are facing a huge problem when dealing with their food and health.
Hope this post helps you to have a better understanding about good health so you can bring positive change in your life and the life of near and dear ones.
Wish you all wonderful people a heathy life full of happiness and peace.
Have a great day.

A truly excellent and informative read as always Preetam!
Our health is our wealth after all and should be looked after at all cost!
I have learned a thing or two here so very much appreciated my friend!
Oh so true Preetam.
I always eat too much rice.
Especially if I make my special fried rice. I have every intention of saving some for next day, but forget to stop eating it.
Curry for me this evening - beautiful aromas around the kitchen, and no - There will not be any rice left over.
Less rice is important - I must try harder
Thanks for the blog my friend.
Bux
The wife is the rice eater in our house Bux, personally I can take it or leave it...
Potatoes of all kinds though are a different story my friend!!
Just food generally for me. I alternate days with rice, pasta and spuds and even chuck in a veggy day or two each week. A concept that is totally alien to my son.
Enjoy the new day Nick.

If you intake more calories you have to burn it, otherwise it's stored in your body. At the same time I understand everyone has different eating habits, so try to connect it as much as possible.
I know Preetam. I'm sure that reading a book must burn lots of calories. Ha ha.
Thanks for trying to make me healthy, old friend.
Bux
My biggest problem is probably red meat Bux and I am totally with your son there!
Thanks my friend, you too!
Whenever I visit my son, he ALWAYS has a slab of steak on the go. He tells me that the only time he doesn't eat meat is while he's waiting for it to cook.
Giving up, red meat, dairy and walking a lot more has helped me loose 20kg many cm's and feel a whole lot better
Great to know that Tony, yes everything is possible we just have to make up our mind and let behind our temptation.🏄
Wow, Preetam! You have shown me how unhealthy that I really am! I will try to adopt at least one of these excellent tips!
Jeff🙏
