I had a personal blog and posted a story about an experience with moths. Can I re-post the same story on a blog here? Or is that not allowed?

Thank you, all. I will stick to my WA experiences in WA blogs and continue my personal observations in my personal blog and keep them entirely separate.

I would advise against it. WA does not allow publishing duplicate content on their blogging system. Publishing the same article in two places is duplicate content.

thank you for your immediate reply!

You are very welcome!

Yes, you can.
No problem.

Wouldn't that show up as duplicate content though upsgirl if she reposts it exactly the same as the previous post?

Yes, if she posted the same Blog on her website twice.
2 of the same articles is duplicate content.
She mentioned here...that's okay!

Hmm, that's interesting. Thanks for the data upsgirl!

Clear as mud?! LOL! You're welcome!

I'm pretty sure it's "no she can't" though....

So, why would someone Blog duplicate? I don't think it's been done. How would WA know? Is there an issue? There's no harm...right?!

Well, that is the question - why would someone post the same blog in two different places?

I think the issue is that if everyone starts doing that, Wealthy Affiliate becomes a place where the majority of the content on the site is duplicate, and turns into an article directory. The blogs here are indexed in Google as well.

You can check with Kyle for clarification on the issue, but I'm pretty sure that if the content is already published in another place, that WA doesn't want it on their blog here.

If the story is the same, but re-written, that wouldn't be an issue. Maybe that's what you guys are talking about. But word for for copy/paste is another story.

Who really knows...thanks! Too much coffee...lol!

Awesome Nathaniel! That's what I was thinking about when she mentioned duplicating her content here. That's why we don't index our privacy pages on our sites.

Another good point! Makes sense!

I copied and pasted the HTML code from my Amazon Affiliate link for a specific product but it's showing the code and not the page link. What am I doing wrong?

Hi again PPopovich: I didn't even connect you with this thread.

thank you for doing so now and for your comments in this thread! :)

Hi nathaniell:

Thanks. I didn't even notice a text and visual editor.

Let me see if I've got this right:

1. For text links, you stay in visual mode and copy only the code between the quotes.

2. For picture links, you go to text mode and copy the whole code.

Seems a bit backwards to me and needlessly difficult.

Yes, that's correct. Amazon should really just give you a "raw" affiliate link that you can copy. I don't know why they don't do that.

Nahaniell:

It seems like if you copy the whole text link, you should see something like: This Is Your Link in link format. At least that's what they show. Thanks for the help.

You need to switch to the "text" editor. It's the little tab on the top-right of the pace where you type text. Places the code there, then switch back to visual.

You are awesome! The support here at WA is pretty incredible! Thank you, Nathaniell and Jeff! I'm going to check out the iTunes affiliate program now as well to see if I can fit that in, too. Thank you again!

There are a number of things that could be going wrong.

On what web page are you experience this issue? I might be able to help further by looking at it.

All that to say, chances are pretty goo that you accidentally didn't paste the WHOLE code. You may be missing the beginning or end bracket (>,

Thank you, Jeff. The web address is http://mothersday-everyday.siterubix.com/ ... the Garth Brooks "Mom" post.
