My first couple of weeks here

Well ok, I was on a trip for most of it, so it's really only a week but I have started to feel comfortable here and thought it was time to put pen to paper.

I guess for most people coming to WA for the first time, there is a scepticism that this is just another money making venture for the site owners (sure it is that - no offence Kyle/Carson :) ) BUT, and its an important but, the amount of training & info here, the level of support available and the obvious community spirit does make WA different.

I guess that as a newbie, I'd have liked to know that the advice would be to BUY a namecheap site and to buy into Jaaxy up front but that's a minor detail. I'm sure that some people do OK on the free option - and there wasn't really any pressure to go premium or to buy a .com - it just seems the most sensible way forward. I haven't bought into Jaaxy - I might in the future but I think if I were to join it now, I'd probably be wasting a months membership whilst I continue to add site content.

I am thinking about annual WA membership, even though funds are a bit tight - I just feel, rightly or wrongly, that I'm here for the long term.

So, the bottom line is that I'm moving forward - maybe at a snails pace - but I'm learning as I go & feel that I've a better understanding than I had a couple of weeks ago - so onwards & upwards
