Crossing the Nullabour
On our next day out we left Streaky Bay early and spent most of the day travelling through light timber and scrub country. The one thing that was great are the roads, they are wide and smooth, great for long distance travelling. After an hour or so we gradually come into open plains again which is the start of the famous "Nullabor Plain". That was the end of the day for us so we set up camp at the Nullabor Road house for the night.
Next morning we set off into this vast plain with no trees and roads that just go on forever. One portion of is the longest straight stretch in Australia being 150 kilometers without a bend. This road also skirts the Great Australian Bite which is where the southern ocean meets the land, the sheer cliffs dropping almost 200 feet straight down.
The weather is cool and sunny about 20c with a light breeze off the ocean makes for pleasant motoring. Tomorrow we finish on this road and turn down south to a coastal town of Esperance. We will now be in the beautiful part of western Australia, south of Perth. I believe there is so much to see down there with many famous wineries and lots of great ocean fishing places . We will be in that area for a couple of weeks before we head up the west coast Sorry that our camera buggered up so can't show any photos at the moment. I do have some interesting ones. Will get it repaired

Say Hi to everyone in Esperance for me!
I'm surprised it is so warm down there Travel safe, mate.
Hi, we are in Esperance at the moment, let me tell you we are all rugged up, it is fine, but because of the cold wind off the ocean it is very cool.
