Even the tiny animals produce trash

There is a German saying: (Kleine Tiere machen auch mist) which means, small animals also make trash. For example an ant hill in the forest. The hill is huge and impressive in comparison to the ant.

When we start with a website our main intention is to make money, lots of it if possible. Even though we don't admit it and maybe put the bar down a little to be reasonable, we would not mind more. Then we start working on our site, putting in many hours and work.

Research for whatever we need for our niche, we come across statements like only accept affiliate programs that offer high commission and so on, but what if our niche is about, products where the commission is not so high? How can we stay encouraged and excited about what we do?

I first started to look for high commission affiliates and invested a lot of time looking for high commission affiliate programs. The ones with high commission did not offer the products that I wanted on my niche, and the ones I wanted to have on my website did not offer a good commission. What to do?

I had to sit back, rethink my motive and ask myself why I started all this. I concluded. This is my site, my business, my idea, my baby, I am not working for anyone but myself. I set a time limit in the future to see how far I get until that time, and until then concentrate on my work and not worry about it. Most of all have faith. It is my time,

Small animals also make a lot of trash it just takes longer. Small steps also lead to success.

Thank you for reading, I wish you all a lot of success fast or slow :)

Hello PKraenzel!

This post is what I am telling myself... don't think about the money now, and focus on learning & developing this skillset... the money will eventually follow. I know I will enjoy the journey as well.

Thank you for following me & I am following you now too!

You are so right Patricia. It takes time to make money on our own website. I look at everything I do as: "It is like eating an elephant - one bite at the time". If I don't do it I get overwhelmed very easily.

Great post, Patricia!

Thank you! it's all about sharing our experience, we always find our we are not alone :)

Great article, slowly but surely...

To your success Patricia,
Marc
