Super Affiliate Progress w10
Hi everyone!
It's been a long time since I wrote anything but feel it's now time for some more thinking and thoughts!
First of all, I must admit things has not been so easy for the last 2 weeks. I guess I had too many ideas spinning around in my head that made me lose focus.
I have therefore decided to only focus on the site built for the "super affiliate program" and leave my other site for now. It a tuff decision but I guess it's the best thing to do. To be able to manage 2 sites, ordinary job and family does take a lot of time and the result is affected. Better than to focus on just one instead.
The site for the super affiliate program is done for now (almost) and now I'm waiting for Kyle to send out instruction about where to go next.
Pinterest:
I did read up a little bit about Pinterest and created a new account just for promoting my "super affiliate site". I was pretty surprised what kind of difference it makes if you put in the right keywords at the right places, create a business account, create your own pinnable images etc.
I went from 0 followers to almost 300 in just one week and people are finding my site now from pinterest and make up most of my traffic.
I still have not joined any Pinterest group boards and I guess the results will be improved greatly if I do that also.
Stomach flu:
Okay, since Friday I got hit with the stomach flu. I guess it's the life of being a parent of small kids that bring this type of virus back home from school :-(
Since I got the stomach flu, I have not been able to work on my site which is frustrating. Now, I feel a little bit better and I got some work to catch in before the email drops down from Kyle!

On the bright side, those Pinterest results are incredible. I will have to relearn how to manage a Pinterest account. My results are pathetic.

Hi, Valerie and thanks for your kind words! I'm still pretty confused how my Pinterest account could grow that quickly but I guess I did something right :-)
It's all good, Patrik. Sometime in the future you may find what you did to make that happen. Then you can write an eBook about How to Be Successful on Pinterest, and become a published Author :)
One step at a time, That's what I had to resort to, and yes, I remember the early days of my kids. I now have grand kids to deal with and they are a hoot and a half. Things get better with time. best wishes.

Hi Xav and thank you! Yes, I know things will get better. It's just that when my kits get it, it only takes a day or two before they start running around as nothing ever happen. For me, it take about a week or more ;-)
Wow you did well with getting that many followers in a week. Please tell us what # you are using and how many. I get most of my traffic from Pinterest but don’t have that many followers. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the comment. About Pinterest, I don't really know if I'm the right person cause I'm still a newbie ;-)
What I did was set up a complete profile with a description about myself.
- started following 100 people
- every follower I get I follow back (in most cases, not always)
- Create a business account at pinterest
- Set up a rich pin
- started making pinnable picture (600x900) in my blog post and changed the alt1 tag and description to my best keywords
- set up my board nr 1 that is built around one of my categories/Niches (in my case its: Money Making Ideas)
In headline: here I put in my best best keyword and Name of the site (in my case its: Money Making Ideas | my_site_name.com)
Description: Here are put in the best keywords I can find around my niche (in my case its: small business ideas | money making ideas | make money online fast | quick money making ideas | best way earn money online)
Board nr 2 is another category but follow the same structure.
Board nr 3 etc follow the same pattern. I also only pin my own post to this boards.
When I pin other peoples stuff I have set up separate boards for that with the description related to the niche.
That was just a small part. Don't ask me if its correct but it works pretty good so far ;-)

This sounds like a very wise decision - to work on one website to start with. When the "SWAG"-Site is up and running almost by itself then you can start working on the other site you have.
I could myself not concentrate on more than one site.

About the "vinterkräksjuka" (don't know any good English word for it) it is awful to have and fast it hits you! Luckily, I was home when it started!

Oh, forgot to say congratulations to your success on Pinterest. Sounds very interesting. I must admit that I am a newbie when it comes to social media. I must join Pinterest and learn how it works.
