Things Happen While You Are Sitting Down!

Things that aren't so comfortable.. Back aches, tingling feet and legs... and OTHER places.. I like to stay busy, so it is a bit new to me sitting in front of a screen , unless I was expecting, of course. Oh my, where is my birthing ball! That would be perfect!

So, I am currently wondering what I can do at my desk besides soaking my window blinds in the bathtub! I mean, you want to be productive in front of the screen and not worry about aches and pains when you get up, right?!

I am not an affiliate or trying to sell anything for this program, but, if it can help someone, then, here it is!

http://www.t-tapp.com/articles/getstarted.html

This is my go to program and need to get started on it again.. I haven't had any issues with my back in several years.. UNTIL NOW! For many years, 14 actually, I had chronic back pain that required my family to do everything for me.. I literally could not do a thing... Then, I started using T-Tapp and within 6-weeks I was gardening with out my back getting stoved up! Miracle! Thank you, LORD Jesus!

Really! I was so excited! With that said, I really need to get moving again! Because I am finding my lower back is getting stiff, feet are falling asleep and my rear hurts!

If I make enough money I think I will build a desk to stand at! Yes!

How about you all? What do you do when you have sat too long at the computer or desk? Or you find your back and limbs getting stiff? Please share?!

Thanks!

Have a Great Day and Keep Going! :)

I take a nap. I guess you could use dragon naturally speaking and let your computer do the transcribing for you. There would still be things to do at the pc but not as much.

Wow Broderick! That is a really good idea! I could put the laptop on the ironing and use dragon speaking too. Thank you for that super ideA!

I find that I have to stand- and as I had just dismantled my office in the extra bedroom about 6 weeks before becoming a member here, I am using my adjustable ironing board, and standing a good bit. I just have no choice!

Ha Ha! don't picture too much!

1

Ooo, that is a very smart idea Sami.. I want to try that! Thanks for sharing that..

Dont take this the wrong way But I will stand up and put my elbows on the desk and arch my back.. It helps stretch it out. This is starting to sound very funny and could go in another direction. Anyway. I have to get up every 15 minutes or so because i have degenerated discs in my lower back. Then I walk like a mummy. That should get a laugh.

1

You sound like a cat! I actually am missing a disk in My lower back. It either degenerated completely or I was born without it.. Problematic for sure. :p

Just call me Rice Crispies.....I snap, crackle and pop.

I enjoyed your Blog. I totally understand everything you wrote. My mom has endured this pain for 30 years, with back surgeries. Nothig worked. She is working with a Specialist now to have a TENS unit putin her lower back. You know, Im here. Wish there was something I could do to help. Need a backrub

2

A tens unit could really help... Surgery doesn't seem to take the pain away though for most people, it doesn't seem like..

I try (notice I said try) to get up at least once every half hour and just move around doing something else. That helps. This really is an issue for everyone. Thanks for sharing the workout!

Right, Debbie, just moving around helps....

1

love the workout, I have had quite a few trauma's to my back so it gives me a lot of pain each day I do the physio workout to stop me seizing up I get up and move around and sometimes I work standing up at the kitchen worktop of all places for a bit, catch 22 sit too long its pain stand too long its pain

1

Katiemac, try the T-Tapp it is so gentle and doesn't make you sore.. If I have pain , I at least do the primary stretch and it takes it away...

2

will go through it see what one is suitable it does not help that I have osteoporosis in my lower back ,, have been going to aqua but need a gentle program for bones.. thank you

Back pain is the most common complaint of people working in healthcare like myself. Sitting in front of the computer for so long make it even worst. If I were clever enough to design a computer screen that follows you when you stand up and lying down would be beneficial to people who needed most. However, it might be intimidating though. :) Thank you for that 6 move your body tips.

Sure, Pio! Thank you! How is the home site coming along?

You just gave me a great niche idea! I bought a small stationary bicycle that sits on the floor under the desk. I can stay at the desk and keep on pedaling. :-)

3

I love that!! Perfect! Thanks for the tip!! :)
