Upon deciding, why I choose Wealthy Affiliates & my 1st Impression
My first impression of Wealthy Affiliates was a bit of a surprising. I've came across the introduction of the affiliate programs in the past (eg. 10 years ago), yet was left disappointed when I realized what I purchase was incomplete. Yeah, they explained the definition of what it was; but the bridge from reading about it and being able to conduct the business of affiliate marketing was wasn't there. In other words, I can see what I was looking at, but how to we get from point A to point B. Well, I've attempted to learn by collecting information from books, and some sources online. But it almost seemed as if the harder I looked the more disappointed I got. So I gave up the ideal for many years, until... I got bored one day, and conducted another search online.
Upon seeing the options now available today, the picture has become a bit clearer to me; that I wasn't the only one that had felt like this. The stereotype of the "Affiliate Scam" was changing, and people demanded to know what is real behind making money through affiliate marketing. Anyhow, looking through the options presented, and trying to clear my bitter pallet from the past... I've came about to the Wealthy Affiliate program. I would like to say it was "love at first sight," however honestly, it took me about 30 minutes of additional research before realizing that I would give another affiliate program another shot. Some basic points that I was looking for in a program in comparison to the others I've seen is: 1. The convenience of the "All-in-One" package, 2. Rec/Live training videos & readings. Now with these two features, my decision is narrowed to just a little of a handful of programs. What closed the deal on my decision was, 3. FREE Starter Account (risk free)!
Upon joining as a Free member, I realized a 4th point in which I've overlooked: The Live WA Community. It took me a while to get see the value of it, but provided when I have questions, comments, doubts... I'm able to reference from a library of previous and/or live discussions. So in there words, the content of this education is changing with the times. The 5th point of reason, was to decide if I wanted to stay, upgrade, or try another program. It came down to the calculation of price. Am I able to afford this program as a premium member, and is it reasonable??? Well reading about the success stories, and seeing the feed back of how this program has better their business I have decided to go premium.
I like how WA provides a map to success while we learn and build our websites. Step-by-Step, I'm starting to see in the context of education the progress I've made about how I actually "saved time and money," to now starting a business to make money through affiliate marketing.

I was the same did a couple of websites 15 years ago and what a difference today its like day and night.. Back then there was really no help at all outside of collage..
yup, well the nice thing about learning past content is that; I remember some HTML that helps when looking at the code, then dreamweaver came along, & now I guess its WP! lol :)
Good post Piñata, i feel the same , i had so much information about affiliate marketing but trying to put it all together seemed difficult if not impossible, i love how WA put it together. Also i a visual learner so it great to have the Videos as well as step by step guides. I didnt grow up with computers although i am reasonably competent on them so i sometimes struggle a bit with certain things. WA is brilliant!
I like how the content is explained, and easy to follow the steps :) yet encouraged to be creative about our content. Rather than processing us a cookie cutter

I remember the old days they were so unappealing - haven't things improved ? I'm only sorry that I didnt stick with it then because now I see the light - doesnt matter its never too late
