Getting the Ball Rolling

So its been a few weeks now since I found Wealthy Affiliate, and I can vouch for it being a VERY worthwhile place to begin in being trained in how to create an awesome website, knowing how to work the SEO and creating keyword rich content that Google will love and will help you extend your organic reach. I'm still in my early days really, but I can see the benefits of the foundational training that I've been receiving so far. Highly recommend taking the leap to becoming a Member here IF you're inspired for contributing to your particular niche and IF you're committed to creating regular and stimulating content for THOSE people.

My website is called Pidgethink (https://pidgethink.net) and conceptually it was birthed out of my personal experience as a student, facing the challenge of achieving great academic results, establishing and maintaining a healthy mindset, lifestyle and diet, all while having limited time to give to all of that and a limited student budget.

Having discovered for myself (with the help of various inputs in my life and seeking them out further afield too...) some very sustainable and exciting ways to overcome these challenges, and I really want to share this with my fellow students who are also embarked on a similar journey to mine.

At this stage, I am looking to establish a tutoring service for local students here at Griffith University, but beyond that, I'm looking to build a reputation and authority to head more into mentoring and life coaching.

I have really learned so much through Wealthy Affiliate platform in terms of how to create a website, how to navigate the search engines in creating the kind of content that people will be able to find organically, and also how to utilise various social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest, to share my content and extend the reach - all organically.

I am looking forward to seeing too the whole realm of affliations, which I am really conceptually excited about, paying off too. I love reading, and so I am excited really to write awesome book reviews on books that I really believe will benefit my readers, and I can direct them to Amazon and Book Depository who I already personally have been buying books through, and by functioning in that way on behalf of them, I can actually get a bit of extra financial support. Also I've got active affiliations with eBay, the Entreprenuers Institute, amongst others. As my site continues to grow and my traffic increases, I'm looking to build out that whole aspect of my site too.

So in the next few months, I'm going to be heading to Sydney, and will be meeting up with some interesting new business networking opportunities, and also continue my studies. Beginning November/December, I'll be doing a Self-Marketing course at University, which is a lot about self-awareness and looking at what value I have to contribute, that will only further hone my ability to pitch who I am and what I have to offer in a way that can create value for my clients and feedback to me. I'm looking at ultimately getting myself to the point where I will no longer need to live off the Student Allowance that I'm currently receiving, and also sometime early next year, looking at moving onto campus, which is not much more in terms of rent, will save on travel, and will just require a little extra money to be able to put down a bond.

I'm also (just waiting on the approval from the University) looking at shifting from my current Business degree to a double-degree in Business/Law, which will extend my studying for a few more years, but will also provide ample opportunity for continuing to develop my tutoring/mentoring, and lay the foundation for a future extending into more lucrative and impactful life-coaching.

So that's just a bit of what I've been laying the foundation of here at WA, and a bit of the vision and big picture for my future ahead.

Glad to be here and grateful for all the awesome training and a supportive community.

Regards,

Steven Pidgeon (Pidgethink)
