Dear WA Friends,

Today after posting "The 33" movie review I went for a walk. On both the sides of road there are lines of shops. I was walking and watching them. They are shoes stores, bags stores, perfumes stores, grocery stores, and many such similar store. The bulb blinked in my mind (as all the time I think and relate everything to my affiliate business) that what exactly they are doing. I carefully thought and felt like if a shoe retail store sell a Nike shoe, how he earns, he earns a commission. Nike get some x price and the retail shop owner gets commission on each pair shoe he sells. The similar logic applies to any small or big store of any department (in our business we call it a niche). So thinking further, we just choose our interest the way retail shop owner chooses his interested line of product. Now the question is how do we market and how does he market. Well his logic is very simple, he opens the shop in such a place which is easily visible to his customers (in our case website visitors). So customer sees the shops and if he wants to buy shoes he enters and see the product and buy it. The sell is done and the retailer gets his commission. Similarly we have opened our shops on WWW and google or other search engines take customers to our shops, as many times we are visible in google and our niche is of interest to visitor he enters our shop. There he reads and select the product go to Amazon to buy it, he buys it and the sell is done. We get the commission. Interesting isn't it?

We are the retail shop owners on WWW.

The retail shop owners in real world expect many walk ins, and the same way we expect a lots of traffic. The retailers expect people to buy the product. We expect our visitor clicks the affiliate link and then buy the product.

It is really same thing, so if the retail model in physical world works then the similar model can definitely work in virtual world.
