I am just wondering if I can have an affiliate companies webpage open on my website at all times or do I always have to do a redirect to their page or site through links?

U have to use the link for them to know the referral I'd from you.

I understand that Geoffrey just wondering if there is anyway to have the redirect displayed on my website at all times or if it has to open on the companies website only.

When someone click on the affiliate links on your website, it take them to the company website.

i understand that I am wondering if I can have that companies website always open on my website without redirecting it

You want your website to display company website?

yes all of the time I want my website to display the company website if it is possible

I don’t think is possible.

Me neither, but I thought I would check

I am thinking that I want to change the name of my website
Now do I go about that?
Thanks
Phil Beck

You can change the site name, just not the domain name, Phil!

Jeff

If it a domain you own you can't change it. If it is a siterubix domain then you could delete it and start again.

Unfortunately, you can't change the domain name, so you need to buy a new one and bring over the content to that one. You can change the tagline of your website, though.

Thank you I am planning on changing just the name/tagline

if you just want to change hte displayed name then
goto settings and change hte nmae and tagline
if you are talking about the url then it is a new one as this is on a register so every site has a unique name....
so your decision ...whether to just change hte display name or change the url....
have fun
phil

thank you I will be changing the tagline soon

Hi if you need change the URL of a dot com domain you cannot if you made a mistake, you'd have to purchase a new one..

If siterubix subdomain yes you can delete and start again, however I'd save any work I have created in site content or elsewhere.

Or I'd keep it and start another one as you can host up to 10 domains mixture of siterubix subdomains and premium dot coms

To edit title and tagline

Settings > general edit and save changes.

thank you this is what I want to do I can handle the domain name staying the same

So very welcome.

I have been working on building my site and I am not seeing any conversions and I have very little traffic. I really do not like jumping into groups just to add friends and hop

Are one of your contents is ranked?if I don’t mind asking how many contents do u have? Do u have google analytic?

no I do not get ranked yet
I do get indexed in under a week on almost all blogs I write
I have over 20 posts

Hey Phil
I advice not, as for me the earning potential isn't going to be great unless my site has lots of content. And my finding it slows down site. IMO
Wishing you well and a terrific day.

Hey thanks for your answer
I think I write good content. A lot of it gets indexed within a weeks time.
Do you think I should just keep writing and let SEO work or maybe buy a few ads and see if I can get some traffic and conversions

Yeah I think keep updating site with great content consistently and driving organic traffic I believe it lasts longer if you put in the user experience element into the equation. Ads or paid ads (taking Google out of the equation) may get you there sooner but won't last. I see it happening all the time, something new starts up all of a sudden there's huge crowds first couple of weeks, afterwards they move on onto something newer. But organic traffic almost always last longer for sure, you wanting bookmarks repeat visits thus repeat business. IMO

Hi please review below blog post

I'd also read this

ok i will
thank you

You are so very welcome.

Hi - check out my post to see if you meet the requirements for AdSense.

Thanks Diane Scorpio i will do that now

Thank you it was a good eye opener and just want your opinion as to if I should give it a try
The only thing I do not have is comments. Because i have very little traffic and no conversions so far I have only a handful of comments.
I have been doing a lot of Top pick reviews so I have been doing some copy and paste and then rewording it into my own words.
Thanks again Diane Scorpio

Hi - there is no harm in trying and if you are turned down, you can apply again at a later date.

However, if you don't have much traffic, you will earn very little from it.

I assume your site is about 4 months old, so it is early days yet. You need to continue to add content on a regular basis, using low competition keywords and providing valuable information.

will do and thanks again for your insight
God bless you

Yes

thank you Eugene
I already have some links on my right side bar that I placed in there.
You think I should sprinkle some $ on few ads

A company I am promoting products for gave me some CSS code?
I know nothing about it or how to place it in my website or in a post that I am writing.
Can anyone explain

CSS stands from cascading style sheet.

It is used to for design changes in the look, layout and structure of WordPress. When used within your posts it will change the presentation of words or layout such as color, word boldness, indentation (and many other things).

When we load our themes they have a CSS style sheet. But when you or your promoting company want to make changes to this, one of the ways it can be done is through WP dashboard -Appearance -> Customizer -> Additional CSS (Scroll way to the bottom.)

CSS code is enclosed in squiggly brackets {} NOT (). the code is given a class name example of code for color red. .colorred {color: #ff0000;} This is called defining the colorred class.

The purpose of defining CSS in the ADDITIONAL CSS section is so that it can be used anywhere in that website.

By defining a class in Additional CSS you do not have to use the full code rather you can use only the class name for the code it represents.

So the class name for the CSS code shown is colorred

So let's say you want some of your wording in your post document to be red Whenever you want a word to be red in your post you can use
This will be red instead of typing This will be red. The rule in WP is to use classes instead of the actual: CSS/html iteration.

Classes save the need for coding so much. Just use the class that has all of the coding defined.

Classes can be used in many places in a post and for many purposes.
for example

This Title Will be Red"

.

It is also used for rows and columns.

So the definition of the CSS goes in the Additional CSS section (not to confuse things but it can also go in a child theme style.css document which is loaded through WP).
And only the class name is use in the post. The format is always class="xxxxxx" xxx name assigned to the CSS code.

Hope that helps.

I was able to find the Css and actually add the code to my site for reference and I will not be able to use it the way I wanted because I wanted to just introduce it in the body of my post.
Thank you for the info as that did clear some things up I ad questions about

All the best
Phearless Phil

You are welcome. Glad it helped.

Another thought
You can probably put your code into the inserter plug in?

thank you for your reply.
Do you have one that you recommend
I saw a number of them. Only want the code applied to certain posts or pages

All the best

I'm sorry that my information wasn't more helpful.

Hi
Here is a training that may help.you Please let us know how you get on.

I’ma software developer and have created training just for that

thank you very much will take a look.

Hi you can add in the additional CSS in Appearance > Customize. And they would applied sitewide.

thanks for the info. I am thinking I will have to get a CSS plugin as I only want that code on certain posts
thanks again
