Success...Just wrote my first post and hope its ok-ish! and have decided to write this simple little blog just so that i have actually written something on this site of value..so here goes with my top tip no 1 for social media marketing

Sharing the right type of content

1: make sure your content is something that people will want to share. People only share stuff that makes them feel good about themselves and stirs a feeling in them either really good (think funny videos) or Bad (think terrible news stories) deep down inside us at the base level people just want people to think they are good/popular and have shown other people something of value that shows themselves in a good light (we are all a bit selfish like that). Remember the last time you shared something on facebook..chances are it was of something funny that you wanted other people to see..by sharing you then have a relationship to the content and are shown in a good light... So next time you write a marketing post for facebook make sure the content hits on either an emotion that makes people want to take action on something eg something wrong in the world or concerntrate on something that makes them laugh and feel really happy, anything inbetween can be considered neutral ground eg "today at www.yourwebsite.com we have 50% off"..this doesnt really evict any emotion..it goes much deeper than this but i thought i would share that little nugget of wisdom for people..if its already been commented on before in this site i apologize..just putting things down on paper so to speak to try and get this CONTENT thing going that everyone keeps talking about.

I will post more top tips for social media as and when and indeed if anyone feels they would like to hear more..
