Not Blogged or written any content for ages but still here. Why?
So ive been at WA for nearly a year now and after a good start ( i was writing content every week ) things kind of stopped moving..I felt like I just wasn't getting anyone visiting my site..I tried for 3 months..didn't expect huge things but found that it just wasn't really working..the thing is I am proud of all the articles I have written and didn't want to leave WA...Plus I've learnt a load about building websites with WordPress and love that aspect of it. I found that I enjoyed the actual getting the website working and looking good rather than the writing content. The funny thing is I am now thinking about charging clients and building websites within WA for them. I have also started a new business and built the website here at WA. ( its britpopacademy.com if anyones interested in looking at it) With what I have learnt about SEO etc I am hoping to do very well with it. So....Im still here, not made any money from writing content but i still enjoy the community and support and am paying the $40 per month for pretty much hosting..but Im happy and hopefully at some point i may get back to writing..but for now i suppose i am kind of a web designer-ish. So writing content isnt the only way to make money at WA...design websites..its just as fun!

Hi, Pete. It's nice to meet you. I think we are on the same cruise. I have lost motivation. I have 9 or 10 draft articles started, beyond the one's that I published. I am not getting them written. Money may be part of it although I really came to WA to get help and training launching a 'campaign' about self-protection.
I have tons of content pending, but I really don't have too many 'product sales' pages going even though there are lots of great items available from my affiliates. I have mostly been answering my mail, but not much else. I am busy with other things, but I am starting to get discouraged here.
I am sure I have some major flaws limiting traffic and other than facebook I don't see much activity. I am new (relatively, which is no excuse) to this venue and haven't put things in proper functioning order I guess. I know I need to write more reviews.
I am not giving up. I won't, but I will sure be glad to get out of these 'blue shadows.' I'll figure it out.
Great fortune with all of your projects. I am going to read some more of your articles now. Bonsoir, Mon Ami. J
Hey Johan, I think what ou and Pete are both suffering from is lack of website authority. Once you start to build some I think that you'll see your traffic drastically improve.
I have heard of sites that were not ranked, having no traffic, spring to life over night. I think what happens is that they hit some sweet spot in the search engines' crawler algorithm which causes them to rank a certain page. Once that one page is ranked, others seem to follow suite. I have not experienced this myself, but I have heard it from more than one person. If your site is brand new it is going to take some time.
I think having some banked content is always a good thing. We are going to have off weeks and having that content ready to publish will help. You really want to post regular content. Try to aim for two posts/pages per week. Bank the rest for a rainy day. You will get unranked if you post a lot in the beginning then don't post for months. Consistency is key.
Let me know if you need help.
Hi Christian. Thanks for the reply. I was in the begining regularly posting 2 to 3 times per wèek and now have around 30 posts on my site waystobuildabusinessonline.com i followed the tutorials and have jaxxy and wrote using long fruit keywords etc but just didnt seem to really get any traffic...i then kind of just left it as had so much other work to do...
That's a great looking website and I wish you success. It sounds like maybe you've discovered a new niche. :)
I'm curious about where you got hung up. Were you just not able to drive traffic to your site? Were you employing the methods outlined by Kyle in the training with regards to keywords?
The reason that I ask is I recently read this post and I think you might find it useful and inspirational as well. $0 to $10k In 3 Years In three years he went from $0 to $10k, but what is interesting is how it really snowballed at the end. It's a good read.
In any event, here's to your future success, regardless of what your pursuit is.

Very aesthetically nice site. I think you are a very creative site designer. You could build a business around that with the skills you have gained here. I say Go for it!! Good Luck.
