Yay! I finally completed Level 1 Certification

Ok, I know I know it's still a long way to go. But what a feeling to have completed the first milestone here at Wealthy Affiliate. It has been a long, long time since I joined Wealthy Affiliate as a free member. To be exact, it was in the year 2016 (I just checked my profile earlier today and realized that).

However, I did not really get serious or did much as I had too many things going on back then. I was just into the second year of selling physical products on Amazon and more focused on doing that then. But I somehow stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate and got curious.

Fast forward to Black Friday of last year, I received the email which informed me of the sale Wealthy Affiliate was having. This time round I was really thinking of getting into affiliate marketing after a few more years of selling physical products. I upgraded myself to premium membership and then received a really warm welcome from some of the friendly fellow members of the community here.

Oh well, another half a year whisked by with nothing much happened. You can call it procrastination, shiny objects syndrome or whatever, and they are probably all true. Finally, I decided that I should not waste my investment in this outstanding platform.

I started on my first lesson of level 1 certification. Then on and off I proceeded onto the second lesson and the third lesson. At certain times I felt a bit overwhelmed as there seems to be so much materials in here and so many steps to do. Will I be able to do it? How long will it take before I see any result? Self-doubt started crawling upon me...

I must continue building my website no matter what. I will just take however long it takes to do it. I will follow step by step. I can do it. I kept telling myself.

Guess what I discovered? I realized that Wealthy Affiliate really has it all figured out and we are in excellent hands! The site builder is so exceptional that it's beyond description. It is so easy to set up Wordpress and then even creation of email accounts. In addition, my premium membership even allows me to set up to 25 websites!

I have set up Wordpress store for my ecommerce website few years ago. I also set up my email hosting and meddled with cPanel. I can tell you it was painful and the complexity was daunting. With Wealthy Affiliate site builder, setting up a Wordpress site was like a breeze with the essential plug-ins pre-loaded.

I remember when I was having a problem during set-up process and I asked a question. To my delight, the support staff got back to me like within minutes. Then few days ago I had a question about setting up the emails for my website and a few very helpful members of the community gave me suggestions and advice. I can only say that I am far beyond impressed.

I was also delighted to find out that it even has a site content section which helps me to compose content and provide writing statistics to spur me on. I am sure all these features are very familiar to those of you who have been around for a while but to me, they are amazing!

So along the way, I am finding out more and more what this membership has in store. For example, I realized that there are live classes now and then and I have signed up for them besides the certification training. I found those classes practical.

I also learnt the in-depth keyword research from the certification course. All I can say is it opened my eyes even though I have been learning about digital marketing for a few years. So I am confident that I am in the right program with all the tools and support needed and I look forward to learning and implementing more from this membership. I also look forward to building more sites to make myself a wealthy affiliate.

As a famous Chinese proverb said "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", I know that I am still a baby in the affiliate marketing world and I have just gotten started. But I really have a big dream that one day I would be wealthy with this affiliate marketing endeavor. I would love to share my journey with all of you and hope that we can encourage one another and contribute to this community.

And that is all for my first blog post. And I can't wait to celebrate this little milestone with all of you. Yay! :)))
