No Idea how this link shows up on my google analytics. I NEED HELP!
Hi everyone,
Since 3 weeks ago every once and a while in my google analytics data shows that I am receiving visitors to my website from a link that I do not recognize. The link is "Nameofmywebsite/index.html" which is not in any of my blog's posts or pages. The worse part is that when I search for it in google it brings me to the next page:
I do not what this means and I am concerned because one day I got 20 sessions from that landing page and today I already have 10; So, how I am getting that? I am afraid somebody is trying to log in to my website! Is that possible? I do not know what to think since I do not have a lot of knowledge on technology and the internet.
I hope somebody can tell me if I should worry or not and what to do.
Thanks in advance for taking your time to read my post.
Cheers,
Darmendra.

A Basic Explanation
The index.html page is the most common name used for the default page shown on a website if no other page is specified when a visitor requests the site. In other words, index.html is the name used for the homepage of the website.
Thanks so much for the quick answer Robert, now that I know there is nothing to worry about it, I guess, I have to be happy of seeing those numbers of sessions in my website.
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Darmendra.
The visits are most likely your own
got it! Thanks again.
No probs, onwards and upwards.
Enjoy your Tuesday.
