A Swinging Bat Is A Dangerous Thing
I am into WA training about a month and a half. It reminds me of getting ready for the baseball season to start. Spend months getting in shape, taking ground balls, chasing fly balls and hours in the batting cage. Day after day, rep after rep, getting in baseball shape, hoping you are ready for opening day and a successful season. Spring training all over again, but in a different venue with WA.
Some days are better than others. You know you have to put the time, follow the coach's instructions, he knows what he is doing, it's not his first rodeo, right? You get bored, discouraged, even wondering why you are putting yourself through this. But you know what you are doing has worked for others, so hang in there. There are players in the major leagues that hit for an average of .300, failing 7 out of 10 times that make millions each year.
So what do you do? You keep fielding ground balls, chasing fly ball and swinging the bat. Hence the quote from an old coach of mine when we left our bats on our shoulder, not getting our cuts in "A Swinging Bat Is A Dangerous Thing". He also came up with "When you poke a frog, you never know how far he is going to jump". Sayings to live by!
So, I am going to keep swinging my bat and poking this frog. I am hoping those of you going through spring training do the same. And we all have a great opening day, a successful season and hit .500! Thanks for you attention and you help.

Love baseball and my beloved NY Yankees. The analogy between baseball and WA is very appropriate. We are going to succeed if we keep swinging for success at WA.
Love baseball too. Thanks for the comment and reading my. Pass it on and keep swinging.
