Another night without sleep.

I'm used to it now. I've had this issue all my life. The first time I remember going to the doctor about it I was about ten. He told my father to have me sleep on two pillows.

I've been through sleep studies, don't have sleep apnea or any of that type of issue. If I get my lazy posterior up out of the chair and get some exercise or get some hard work done around the yard I usually fall asleep. But I may have mentioned I am lazy so,,

While I couldn't sleep I found myself going over my training and old messages from when I began here five months ago.

I'm on the lesson about making follow up messages for WA referrals so I went to go look at the guy who referred me to see his messages.I knew I received them but wanted to read them again. They were helpfuland came at a welcome time. Frank the affilicoach is my referrer. He sent me private messages as did Kyle.

I honestly don't recall how he snagged me but I'm glad he did.

This place has changed my life dramatically and I am very grateful. Other than my writing I was poking around on Pinterest before WA. I wasn’t trying to make a business out of it. In fact I was collecting Japanese illustrations into all the boards I made. I categorized them and it felt like I was collecting art without spending any money.

In those old messages was one from Kyle including a link to his first live training video. I’m going to go watch it again now. Here it is if you want to see it.I think this Is a good reminder of the value of follow up with your referrals. It made a huge difference to me when those messages came from Frank, Kyle, and Carson. Follow ups in email marketing as well as recruiting for WA is very important. It made me feel welcomed. It made me feel this was the right place for me.

Nice Post Paul, enjoyed reading thatzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Just joking!!

Thank You very much for a wonderful instructive blog, especially useful for budding friends.

Good morning my friend, Wakey-wakey Eggs and Bakey!
Don't know how this translates to this piece but it smells great to write it.

Having come to this platform through wandering about the internet...I honestly do not remember if I had a referral or who that might of been. Of course I would be follow up as well, for the many benefits of membership and in engaging others I have experienced so far. We are all upon an amazing journey.

Will move to link with Kyles first training as well< Paul...thanks for sharing.

...I have no idea what it might be like in not being able to sleep.
Sorry that you have that trouble..but your yard must be very clean!

Kind regards, Sir Paul.

David R.

Goos post Paul. Sleep difficulty is no fun. My wife suffers from it and there are lots of answers, but few seem to work. Keep getting out of bed and put the feet on the floor!
Joe

Yeah, that's about it. Just keep getting up. Thanks Joe

Nice article. Yes, connections are so important. One can lead to another in a way we would never have thought.

Sorry to hear about your sleep problem. Many of us are probably on the computer a lot. We just need to get up and go. I get up each day--before it is hot!-- and go for a walk. Sometimes it is 20 minutes; sometimes an hour. Makes a big difference. I also work in the garden. Those are the days sleep comes very easy.

We human beings were made to be physically active. When we work sitting down all day, it goes against the way we were made to live. I am looking into a standing desk or even treadmill desk where you walk and type on the computer simultaneously. This may help a lot! Wish you well and hope your sleep improves..

All great ideas. I'm glad it's working for you.

I understand how you feel, I slept about a hour last last night and need to get up . Earlier this week I literally went over 48 hours without sleep ( got a lot of work done ) than crashed for 14 hours. I too have been dealing with the issue since I was kid.

I have a theory about it though when it comes to my personal issue . I think I have a natural longer sleep wake cycle where once I am rested I naturally stay up for days and than sleep well past the normal 8 hours. I have never in my life ( that I can remember) cleared 2 nights of good back to bs I sleep . Since I worked in a office most of my life this manifested as sleeping 2-4 hours a night all week than “ catching up” on Saturday .

Since I quit the cooperate world to do this full time I am noticing the longer sleep wake cycles settling into a rhythm only interrupted by days like this where I must be up regardless of how much I slept because of family obligations.

It’s a suspicion I have had for years based on various things so I am finding it interesting to watch it develop.

I agree on the follow up ... it’s priceless , so too is the community.

I can feel the kinship. Sleep issues like ours seem to be fairly rare. I'm glad you have found a way to make it work for you. Nice to meet you.

Yes , now just to find a way to make it fit well into the real world lol. It’s nice to meet you too :-)

One of the ways I have made it fit into the real world is working for myself. I have worked for myself for most of my working career.
If I am so sleep deprived that I shouldn't be driving I don't go and no one fires me.
This is the same. If I don't get the article done it only hurts me no one else. but I can pace myself based on my odd sleep patterns.
Thanks for the help.

Yes it’s definitely helping now that I am doing affiliate marketing full time . We are still a busy family and obligations abound lol which is why I am running in one hour of sleep instead of getting caught up this morning .... oh well though , nothing much for it honestly. I am sure I’ll get it all worked out as I adapt to this work from home for myself thing.

Thanks for sharing :-) best of luck to you .

Ps I never publish once I have been up for 24 hours out of caution ( even if I don’t feel tired) but during that 2 1/2 day spread I was awake I created one of my best articles to date.

Over 4K words, a table of contents , videos . Pics bought and personal .... it is beautiful lol. It took 14 hours to create and hit page 1 on bing, yahoo and google within 3 hours of me hitting publish .

I think I am starting to believe I do my best work when I am in the no sleep zone.... so I suppose I need to
Make some time for work tonight lol

That sounds very similar to one technique I use to awaken the muse.
I'm pretty sure you will handle this schedule thing. You seem very talented. Good talking with you.

More in tune with letting your problem-solving subconscious mind have free rein, when the stuffy old status quo, won't let you go. It tells you you will be safe if you stay in the box! Can you even expect change when you're already inside of the belly of the fox... Don't be too late for making that pair of dimes get out of the way.

Love the post Paul.
Read every line while waiting for my order of grilled chicken chop..
I remember my sponsor reached the day i upgraded my account but can't remember his name now... :)

Joe

Chicken Chop sounds good right now.

Sounds like you are an excellent student for WA. Seriously sleep is important for good health.my grand mother use to make mean cup of soursop tea made from sour sop leaves.worked every time.

I haven't heard of that. Sometimes Chamomile tea helps. Thanks, I'll try it.

Soursop leaves The Beat, no question

I agree Paul, the welcome messages from referrers, and Kyle and Carson are very important for making newbies feel welcome. I'm almost embarrassed to say I was THAT new, I thought that Kyle had actually just typed my message and pressed the send button personally LOL, I had been here about a month before I realised that follow up messages were sent automatically!

Yes, but it had that personable feel to it. I felt the same way.

Those follow up messages are important, though we don’t realise it at the time. I had no idea how I had got here and didn’t realise that message from Gary meant he was my sponsor.
He did however always come up with an answer for me in the early days.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

Hi Karen. Glad you have a good sponsor also. I was very jaded when I came here. I made myself just look at this for an hour a day the first few days. I didn't want to get caught up in another scam.
It was so nice, and non-scammy I couldn't help it.
