I have not yet tried Bard, but many people have recommended it. I am much more interested in research than in a writing component because I enjoy writing. By the way, you didn't ask permission to use my picture. Just kidding. My ears aren't that big.

I have managed to get chat in Vietnam but not bard yet, unless I go incognito.
That are both cloud based, so if you have any connection problems you are stuffed.
However there is a new one called Alpacca which resides on your computer. So even if your internet is down, the big A will continue to do its stuff. I believe the acquired information on Alpaca is not as substantial as either chat or bard, however being non clod has its own benefits as well.
This may be a long played out game where we the audience have to wait and see who finally hits the home run.

Hi Cathy. I'm messing about with both and I am still in the early stages. However, so far IMO Mr Bard is winning hands down. That's just IMO of course and others may find it different. It's horses for courses methinks.

I am also still playing with both of them. IMO they both have their strengths and weaknesses. So far, I find that ChatGPT is more "personable?", I don't know if that is the right word for it, but Bard is more accurate and/or factually up to date.
