5 Easy Ways to Achieve Success
The "Science of Success" is littering the Internet and Social Media.
Almost everyday, I am bombarded by this ubiquitous science. There are more gurus today than have ever existed since the beginnings of time.
When I listen to these people I realize that the better ones never claim to have invented these rules, habits, and tactics that make up this "new age" science.
They do however, all agree that success is a skill that can be learned.
What is Success?
Everyone has their own definition of success.
Success can be described has having achieved a comfortable live style.
It is also the act of accomplishment.
It is arriving at a destination that you have set for yourself.
The 5 Essentials
What are these 5 easy ways to achieve success?
1) A goal
How can you achieve anything, if you don't know what you are trying to achieve?
A goal is a purpose. It is a direction. It can be something you want. If you do not have an exact goal, or an exact purpose, you are wandering about aimlessly, like the proverbial ship without a rudder.
My goal today is to write a blog.
I want to write a blog that will attract a lot of attention and will arouse my readership to comment on the degree of success that I have achieved.
2) A Plan
A plan is a method for achieving my goal.
Now that I know what I want, what can I do to get there?
I have to define the steps I need to attain my goal. I also have to define these steps in their proper sequence.
I cannot start in the middle or near the end.
I have to start at the beginning, make my way towards the middle, and then, I can arrive at my destination.
In the past, I wanted to achieve my goals quickly, and skip most of the steps I needed to get to my destination.
Lucky for me, I quickly realized that this was not possible, and it didn't make very much sense.
If I want to travel from Vancouver to Tokyo, I cannot begin my journey, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and travel towards Australia.
I have to begin in Vancouver, travel on the Pacific Ocean (in the direction of Tokyo), and continue til I arrive at my destination, Tokyo.
Seems easy enough!
3) I Have to Educate Myself
An easy technique to help me reach my goal is to learn more about it.
If my goal is to write an interesting blog that will attract a lot of attention, I have to find out how to do this.
After all, other people have written blogs, so why don't I study how these people have written their blogs and try to understand how they go about doing this.
The more blogs I read, the more familiar I will become with this method of writing.
Another way to learn about blogging is to write more blogs!
4) Self Discipline
This is the most difficult part of achieving success for me.
I envision myself standing on one leg, on a bed of nails, for hours on end.
I'd better forget this one and keep going!
There are so many distractions all around me that it makes achieving my goal difficult.
I am going to ignore this concept completely, ... and keep going!
5) Persistence
Persistence is an easy one.
I just have to keep going.
When I don't stop, I don't get distracted by emails, telephone calls, or television programs.
In this way I accomplish more work.
What an easy way to complete a task!
6) Taking Action
This is my bonus.
By following these simple steps it was very easy to achieve my goal.
I was successful in writing my blog.
I just did it.
I wonder if "just doing it" is something like "taking action".
I've heard that expression somewhere before. I forgot where.
I think I just kept working on what I was doing at the time.
Funny thing about not stopping, ... I did not get distracted, and it was very easy to complete my task!
I should try this again tomorrow!
Did I achieve my goal?

I like the one about Self Discipline cos of the imagery of you on one leg, on a bed of nails, hours on end. :D
And I will help you to not ignore that one! Lol

Lucky for us, Veronica.
Many know our secret, but so few take action.
Looks like we can keep it all to ourselves for a bit longer.
Yes you have achieved your goal. Great piece, very motivating.
