Skin The Most Important Organ
Of Your Body
Did you know all the functions of your skin? Of Course it is a outer wrap that holds in all of your organs an keeps you together. But, it also keeps out pathogens and flying debris and other environmental assaults. Here's what it does:
- Protects. Your Internal Organs from injury and infection
- Helps eliminate wastes through perspiration
- Helps your immune system by being a protective barrier to viruses and bad bacteria, preventing infections.
- Is a Friendly habitat for good bacteria
- Maintains body temperature by controlling heat flow between you and environment.
- Produces and Stores Vitamin D, which makes a healthy immune system.
- Having lots of sensory receptors to detect hot/cold hard/soft,sharp/dull so you can react to dangerous conditions around you.
- Is a moisture seal that maintains your body's fluid balance.
Yes we need to take care of it because it is a vital component of our health. But, Whatever we put on our skin goes directly into our body just like we ate it. In fact eating something, breaks down toxic substances a little with saliva and stomach juices before they are absorbed.
When we put something on our skin, it can't break down...it gets fully absorbed. So shouldn't we only put pure non toxic substances on our skin? Well, This is Definitely the Case!!!
Beware of "Natural" & "Organic" Products
Why?
There are No Federal Regulations for beauty products, so anyone can claim their product is "natural" or "Organic". So do't base your selection on a product because it says Natural.
You need to know what is in a product that is dangerous by name and learn why it's dangerous because of what it will do to you. Become Educated! I will try to make it EASY for you.
Example: Some brands use ingredients that were simply derived from natural sources but are no longer natural or organic. When it comes to the labeling of cosmetics and body care products, it's a free-for-all.
Look at: Sodium laureth/laurel sulfate aka SLES/SLS this is derived from coconut oil, but it doesn't resemble coconut oil any longer and has none of the benefits either.
Why this SLES/SLS is so bad, is that during the manufacturing process (called ethoxylation) causes contamination with dioxane, a carcinogenic by product.
OK....SLES/SLS is frequently used in anit-freeze and engine degreasers. Unless you are an industrial piece of equipment, I don't see why you'd want to put this stuff on your skin, do you?
Two Culprits to Look Out For...
Because They ARE Endocrine Disruptors
An endocrine Disruptors is any substance that can alter your natural hormones.
When you slather on a product that contains one of these endocrine Disruptor substances on your body, it gets absorbed, then mimics a natural hormone by interfering with, or altering the function of the endocrine (hormone) system, damaging your body.
Endocrine Disruptors are found in: plastics, clothing, cookware, foods, medications, detergents, industrial chemicals, pesticides, and in all our body care products. It takes years for your body to excrete it out of your system.
Endocrine disruption poses a direct threat to the human population because it is linked to reproductive impairment and sterility. It is the main factor of our wildlife extinct species.
Well...what are they?
Phthalates and Parabens.
Phthalates
Phthalate a are plasticizing ingredients that have been linked to birth defects in the reproductive system of boys ad lower sperm-mobility in adult men. Phthalate a are found in %75 of 72 products tested, even though the word "phthalate" never appeared on the label.
Phthalates are commonly found in Fragrances.
Parabens
Parabens are a group of chemicals found in underarm deodorants, shampoos, soaps, toothpaste, lipstick and other body care product, and it has been shown to Mimic the hormone Estrogen in the body.
This substances are called " Xeno-estrogens" they are fat soluble meaning they store themselves in your fat in your body.
You can also find them in foods like: mayonnaise, mustard, salad dressings, and candy.
The female breast contains cells called estrogen receptors which are stimulated by the presence of estrogen (or Xeno-estrogens) into producing more mammary tissue. It is possible that stimulating these cells artificially after menopause, when natural hormone levels drop, could contribute to breast cancer.
Other paraben side effect include male breast growth, excelled fat storage and diminished muscle mass. They have also been linked to a variety of cancers. Paraben may be listed on a label as methyl paraben, ethyl paraben, propyl paraben butyl paraben, isobutylene paraben or E216 and are typical added to products as preservatives.
So Now You Know WHY Breast Cancer is Soaring
Obesity Is The New NORM
And Why We Are Seeing a Host Of Birth Defects and Weird Diseases
OK....go look at your products for Parabens and Phthalates and Sodium Laureth/ laurel sulfate or SLES/SLS or E216
NEXT....WE WILL TALK ABOUT

HIDING IN THEM.
