Howard Hughes, maverick billionaire businessman, aviator, inventor and film producer was the ultimate example of social distancing.
In 1947, Hughes locked himself in a darkened screening room for four months, doing little more than eating chocolate bars, drinking milk and relieving himself into empty bottles which he stored against the walls. Later he moved into the penthouse of one of his Las Vegas hotels, the Desert Inn, where he established his headquarters. He refused social contact completely conducting his business by telephone. No video conferencing back then!

Only his Mormon attendants could communicate through a screened hatch. He was obsessive about germs and washed his hands impulsively.
His nails grew to a great length and his physical condition withered to a skeleton.
He nevertheless remained all powerful even threatening Nixon via telephone to abandon nuclear testing in Nevada....and Nixon complied!

Hughes began taking codeine tablets dissolved in water and injecting himself with a syringe
He eventually left Las Vegas and moved to a London hotel suite where he died.
In 1972 an allegedly authorized biography of the famed recluse was announced, but it turned out to be a scam. The author, Clifford Irving, was later imprisoned for fraud.

No chance of Corona catching Hughes!
