Pre Samsung GT-S7500

I landed my first job in a local pub. I still remember that "we don't work, just party" bait pitch on the paper where i got their contact number. Went in for the interview, got excepted and right away ordered to dust off the highest shelf where there were no proof of any human presents before. So much for the "party".

Made it through the first month, scrambled through the second and finally bought my first mobile phone by the end of the third month. Comparable to today's modern calculator, i've managed to save for a Sony Ericsson.

1997 mobile vs 2013 calculator. By 2060 - spoons will teleport to the human mouth.

After a few pub jobs and a 30 plus years of walking the earth, I had 11 mobile phones, 4 of them were smartphones. Out the 4, I find the Samsung GT-S7500 to be the best all-rounder, even if compared to the mighty (and pricier) Nokia X7-00. In due respect, the X7-00 was a beautiful beast with a Titanium armour. It captured sharp 8MP pictures and sang better than Justin Bieber. Screen was wide with high resolution. The Nokia was a piece of Finnish art. It was all good until..I started using it like every other mobile phones. The Nokia X7-00 required an acute care. Otherwise..

The screen jammed at least 3 times a day, even with all the heavy services turned off. It jammed more on a hot day. It sort of had a "stress detector" where it jammed when you needed to use the X7-00 fast. It would not let Skype operate when WhatsApp was on. Battery power depleted to zero within 14-16 hours on normal usage. The Nokia X-700 had to go. Enter the Samsung GT-S7500.

Bought the Samsung GT-S7500 last year and I'm still using it. It was much cheaper than the Nokia X-700. Although it cost less than the Nokia, it didn't jam as often, works under sweaty fingers well, runs 3 social apps at once, operate it on a quickly manner, yet it wouldn't freeze. Battery last up to a full day on normal usage. However, in comparison to the Nokia, it does have it's drawback. 5MP camera captures average quality pictures, sound won't get you noticed, screen resolution is okay. Design - like any other Samsung, you can't tell the difference from 5 feet away.

Nevertheless, if i were to travel the globe without a laptop and camera, given the choice to choose either, i'd go for the Samsung GT-S7500. It gets the job done that was tasked for pricier smartphones, It's very reliable (i dropped it a couple of time, no signs of senile yet). I have a rather large fingers, yet i have no problem getting a WhatsApp text msg down fast.

If you're looking for a smartphone that does all the sensible functions (sensible functions-not fingerless screen swipe or synchronize mobile choir), then the Samsung GT-S7500 would be your best bet!
