From Vision to Walmart: My 6-Year Journey with Wealthy Affiliate and a Message for New Entrepreneurs

Six years ago, I took a leap of faith and joined Wealthy Affiliate — not fully knowing where it would lead, but believing in the power of building something of my own online.

Like many new to the platform, I had big dreams, limited resources, and a burning desire to learn. Today, I’m proud to say that my faith-based clothing brand, Gospel Swag, has officially launched its first product on Walmart.com — a milestone I never imagined reaching when I started this journey.

If you’re just getting started at Wealthy Affiliate, this blog is for you. I want to encourage you, share some behind-the-scenes of my growth, and give you a real-world example of how powerful this platform can be when combined with consistency, creativity, and passion.

The Beginning: Learning the Ropes of Online Business

When I joined Wealthy Affiliate in 2019, I didn’t know anything about online business, let alone how SEO or affiliate marketing worked. I spent hours soaking up the training, attending webinars, (shout out to Jay) and applying what I learned step-by-step.

There were nights I stayed up late writing blog posts no one saw (at first), figuring out keyword research, and tweaking designs on my site. But every small win—like getting my first comment or making my first affiliate commission—was encouraging. Wealthy Affiliate made learning accessible and community-driven, and for that, I’m grateful.

Why Gospel Swag?

My faith has always been the foundation of who I am. I didn’t just want to build “a business”—I wanted to create something that reflected my values, inspired others, and made a bold statement for the Kingdom.

That’s how Gospel Swag was born. It’s a Christian clothing brand designed to help believers wear their faith with confidence, creativity, and cultural relevance. Our designs fuse style with scripture, helping people start conversations and represent the Gospel in their everyday lives.

The Road to Walmart: A Dream Come True

Launching a brand is one thing. Getting it accepted by one of the largest retailers in the world? That’s another level entirely.

After years of building our website, learning digital marketing, understanding SEO, and perfecting our product, we applied to become a Walmart Marketplace seller. And guess what? We were accepted. As of today, our very first Gospel Swag product is officially live on Walmart.com.

This moment didn’t come overnight—but it wouldn’t have happened without the foundational knowledge I gained from Wealthy Affiliate.

Lessons for New Wealthy Affiliate Members

If you’re new here, let me leave you with a few words of encouragement:

1. Start where you are, with what you have. Don’t compare your Day 1 to someone else’s Year 5. Learn, grow, and keep moving.
2. Be consistent. Success doesn’t come from big leaps—it comes from daily steps. Keep showing up, even when it’s hard.
3. Find your “why.” Whether it’s financial freedom, time with family, or building a legacy—let your mission fuel your momentum.
4. Apply what you learn. Knowledge is powerful, but applied knowledge is transformational. Don’t just take the courses—use them.
5. Lean on the community. One of the best parts of Wealthy Affiliate is the people. Ask questions. Celebrate wins. Stay connected.

Six years ago, I started with nothing but a dream and a willingness to learn. Today, my brand is on Walmart.com. wow! Who knows what God has in store. But I know this: Wealthy Affiliate has given me the tools to build something that matters.
