When the Going Gets Tough.
So, I've done the 1st course and half the second course and have realised whilst studying Google Analytics that I've just gone past the place I've usually given up ie not getting any traffic, and not not knowing what to do next.
I've carried on for a bit longer, creating beautiful content and then let the website go because it's felt like a waste of time.
In the words of Billy Ocean (I hope that's an ear worm for you now as I'm sure you're humming it :)) 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going' but not this time! This time, with the help of all the lovely people at WA, when the going got tough, I've asked for help and advice, read some more of the training, used the help section, and most importantly taken stock and remembered that this isn't a quick win and looked for the movement I've made from day 1.
Looking at my analytics today: ok. I'm still not ranked in Google BUT and it's a big BUT.. I've had visits to my site everyday for a week and all of my links have had had more than 20 clicks each (including the one I put on on Sunday)! In 2 months, I'm well chuffed and I'm extremely proud of my site.
So everyone reading this, make me a promise to hum the tune for the rest of the day (because it's a good one and will make you smile) and if you're feeling a tad disheartened, take stock and look at what you've achieved since day one of undertaking the programme and joining this brilliant community.
Have a fab weekend and speak to you all soon.....
Madsy xxx (that's one kiss for everyone :))
