My Progress at WA So Far
My Achievements
I have been at WA since December 16, 2014. Since then I was able to build a website. I did not have a dim knowledge as how to go about this before.
I was able to make a foothold in my first niche. I wanted to do more than one website, but I had to do only one because there were so many things to be done.
I did transfer my site Rubix website to my own domain. That was an experience for me. New Knowledge!
I was able to write contents with ease. This activity helped me to understand that my memory was still in "pinker form". Honestly, I thought my brain was getting foggy. Having to write these things helped me to get back in gear on some of the things I used to lecture or make presentations on some years ago. I truly thought I would have forgotten so much, but no this was not so. I was on the ball.
I really enjoy writing contents more than anything else. Nevertheless, even this was technical since I had to do what WA taught me to do and I had to do what WA knew Google was expecting.
There had been some other responsibilities which sometimes got in my way. Of course, there were times when I came up to a wall in the lessons. I could not go forward. Therefore, I had to park and try to work things out for myself and ended still having to depend on the community. I can remember only once I did not get an answer to my question. I got answers to my questions after that one time. However, I later found out that I was asking the questions in the wrong spot. Please do not ask me where was that.
I have been asking questions in places where I thought was 'appropriate' for questions, and where it indicated ask questions. The fact is that it seems there is more help from some areas to which the questions are exposed. Please do not ask me about that. One thing I know WA is a very helpful community. Therefore, I am forced to take the blame of not knowing where to knock. I want to thank WA for their help. It is great!! I could not have achieved so much without their help.
Doing the Tasks and the Toggle were good exercises since it helped me to see to it that I had a clear understanding of what was taught. Doing the toggle was telling on myself. I felt and did not go forward until all was appropriately done. Somethings were not easy walk-overs.
I still do not understand how to link one page with another. After transferring my site to my own domain, I was surprised and excited to see my website on Google. That was an achievement!!! I wanted to liken this to the first blast off of a rocket into space. Can you imagine this?
Then came my next achievement. This was the setting up of my Google Plus Account. Guess what. I now have more friends all over the world!!
I must say that I have listened Jay one Friday evening and half time another evening. I do have a problem. This I know is nobody's problem but mine. Friday evening is just not convenient for me. I am thankful that the lessons are still available to listen to. These presentations are valuable. Thanks to Jay and WA.
In concluding I must say that the programme here at WA is interesting and helpful. I will recommend it to anyone. I trust that my Principals, Kyle and Carson will assist me in the direction to monetize my website. Of course, I think it is high time to put some 'malls' on it.
My projected goals are:
1) To monetise my website, making at least $500.00 by the next three months.
2)To complete my second website in the next three months.
