Learning Online Affiliate Marketing from Scratch

Well I am on Course 2 Lesson 10. I came to Wealthy Affiliate with zero experience. I had zero experience on building websites and let alone understood how people make money online. I had never in my life writen a blog. I guess you get the picture, I am not really a social butterfly online so I dont post anything on facebook or linkedIn.

I have enjoyed learning about building websites and writing blogs. I have to say something very cliche, it is definitely not easy making money online or getting rankings in Google. You definitely have to work for it. I found myself getting discouraged and getting a blank on what I should write on my website. Even writing this blog just to finish Course 2 was tough. I let it sit for 3 weeks and didnt even want to look at my computer. I finally just picked my computer and started writing this blog today. If I want to be successful at this I just have to soldier on and keep writing.

I am still struggling with finding a niche. The niche that I started with as part of the training is Travel Cheap. The objective of my site is to help people find cheap travel deals and i also want to let people know that travel does not need to break the bank. There are ways you can travel and see places even on a budget. I am usually saddened by the fact that there are people who have not left their county. Most of the people I talk to always tell me its because they can not afford travel. I know cheap travel deals niche has a lot of competition but I would like to further streamline it to be unique as I go along with the training. I am also still working to find other niches.

All in all, its been a great experience learning about the online world. One of the most exciting and most encouraging moments were when I found out that my 2 articles I wrote had been indexed in Google. I celebrated like I had a made a million dollars. Best day in my online world. To me it was a milestone. Baby steps for sure, but hey, one has to start somewhere. I had made progress and that was enough to give me encouragement.
