Sometimes we have to bite the bullet and make drastic changes and for my business this means expanding into both video and email marketing.
It's a Jungle Out there
Be prepared if you set out to adventure into the world of making YouTube videos. There is video software, lighting, audio, YouTube SEO with a gazillion companies claiming their product or service is the best.
Luckily the wealthy affiliate training has some excellent resources but there is still so much left to figure out.
I opted to go with a video software called screen-o-matic and a YouTube SEO plugin called tube buddy.
Screen-o-matic will allow me to share my screen and record video which is awesome. For now, I plan on creating videos where I share my screen. However, I do plan on investing in a green screen and ring light at the beginning of 2020.
Tubebuddy is another tool I invested in to help me with YouTube video SEO. It is kind of like Jaaxy but for finding good YouTube tags. This will ensure my videos get seen. Moreover, there does not seem to be many women in that space on YouTube which I find fascinating and exciting.
A Funnel here a Funnel there, Funnels Everywhere
I used to think that having a blog was enough to be successful online.
Sure I was getting sales but they were one and done. If you are not collecting leads and emails then you are essentially helping someone else build their list.
Without a list of clients do you really have a business?
With that being said I sat out to do research on email marketing and fortunately wealthy affiliate to the rescue as I found some amazing training from some of Jay's past live webinars on email marketing. Where I learned the best way to build my list was by offering something of value (lead magnet) This made sense to me as I have definitely found some lead magnets quite irresistible .
It took some time but I finally figured out a couple options I could use as a lead magnet so now it is time to find a good funnel software.
While everybody and their dog is crazy for Click Funnels I did not buy into the hype as I wanted to use something less expensive and more WordPress friendly. Therefore, I opted to go with the whole Thrive themes membership which has an overwhelming amount of plugins and themes to help make a website really stand out.
And last but not least there is finding a good email autoresponder and since many here swear by Aweber I will give them a try.
Information Overload Imminent
Although I pride myself on being able to learn and implement new teachings ultra fast I still feel overwhelmed at times at the large variety of new information I am having to take in as each new area of my business requires some pretty intensive learning in order to implement quickly.
However, I love a good challenge and look forward to the journey that lays ahead. Thankfully I have awesome people here who understand and are embarking on journeys of their own. Leaving me feeling confident and well-supported.
Embarking on a new frontier can be intimidating but with Wealthy Affiliate you are NEVER alone. Which is why I am filled with gratitude towards our WA family.
