Compress JPG files online!
I downloaded a stock image file that was nearly 10MB!
I don't have any plugin that compresses images, and I did not want to bog my website down with an image with such a huge file size. So I wanted to compress and upload the image to my website on the fly.
I googled and found http://compressjpeg.com

This site also has links to compress other file types like PNG http://compresspng.com and PDF http://shrinkpdf.com.
No sign up or personal info required at all!
Step 1: Select up to 20 jpg (or jpeg) images from your device. Or drag files to the drop area. Wait for the compression to finish.
Step 2: Download compressed images either separately or get them all, grouped in a ZIP archive.
So far so good with my jpg image compression. Upload, compress, download, done.
Hope this helps anyone who wants to compress images online without using a plugin!
