Life really is a game.
Level 2....ding!
As an avid gamer for most of my life I have the concept of leveling up, down pat. Gain enough experience and poof you are now Better. Whatever that looks like.I think this is an interesting way to engage a community in this day and age. Now, I know this is not new but the presentation of it is certainly is.
Everyone stop what your doing and think back to your fight through the first few days, weeks, months of doing this online marketing thing. All the emotions and uncertainty, but then one day you hear DING! A big bubble rises above your head announcing to the world you have attained Level (X), maybe a little fanfare plays some confetti, you get the idea.
In games the avatar acquires new skill points or a special ability, perhaps both. So too, in life this happens. Mostly these changes are unseen, at least for a time. For instance, before starting WA I did not know how to create websites. I have tried in the past to learn but never thought that I would need one for any reason. Now, I have set up several free sites just to play around with them. (deleted now but good practice)
I did not know how keyword searches really worked. Yes type in a search engine and magically your request is found, but know there is meaning and purpose behind it. (skill point). I have gained much knowledge and look forward to increasing it as the days turn from months to years.
Cudos to Kyle and Carson for creating a welcoming environment full of support and success for anyone willing to work for it.
