How do you eat an elephant?

This is an old saying but perfect for this topic. I recently lost three members in my family over the course of three months last year. This has had a profound impact on how I see things now. I only mention this to hopefully shed some light on the topic at hand.

In the past I have said "I see myself as a business owner" yet put no real effort into making it happen. I would dream of all the things I would do on the other end of success never really giving the hard fought journey the respect it deserved. I would daydream, while working for someone else, how successful I would become. Again no effort made toward any actionable step of achievement. This I believe is the very essence of Desire and it has poisoned me to the point of paralysis. This has taken place slowly since the day I graduated high school. Fast forward 22 yrs. and the loss of three family members, I now see how to defeat this poison. How do you eat an elephant?

The answer as you may have guessed, one bite at a time.

These bites are the Goals we set. One step at a time will take you any distance you are willing to travel. I know this is probably a no-brainer for some but i am hoping that this will help others.

Make goals and steps to achieve those goals. This is my first step toward the goal of getting free from the rat race.
