Hello all. This is the part where I wish I had the gift of gab.
I'm at the part where I'm building site and thinking of content for the site. I'm not what you'd call a good conversationalist. How to fill pages of content if you feel you have nothing to say?
PaletteJunky's Goals 3
Money Goals
Ok, goal setting. I can survive making $1,000 a month. That would help me just get by. (Luckily my overhead is low, I'm not in a lot of debt). I'd be relieved to make over $2,000 a month. That would be enough so that I don't have to worry about looking for a job. I hate job hunting. I hate the nine to five grind knowing I'm only making money for someone else. I'd be ecstatic to make more than that to start investing, buy a house etc...
I currently do not have a nine to fiver so, I can put a full work week in. This program looks like I can go at my own learning pace so, this looks doable. I'm crossing my fingers that putting in the time will not be a waste of time. I've been scammed before so, I have some reservations but, I have to make something work. I'm eager to learn new skills and put them in action. I've just needed the chance. Could this be it? Knowing that there is a community out there of folks doing the same thing and being able to contact them makes it seem less daunting. I am emboldened enough to take a deep breath and dive in. Wish me luck.

Thanks SRosental. I guess my first hurdle is building a following so that my posts are visible. I've got 68 followers on WA and I've only been here a few days. Not sure how much that counts yet. LOL

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

I'm so impressed with this site and this community. My plans are to go through the bootcamp and join the WA affiliate program. I have only two other ideas that are dear to my heart. One is art, I've looked up one possible affiliate opportunity for art supplies and the other idea is a blog for gout sufferers, of which I am one. During my brief research for a niche here I've learned some things I didn't even know and would feel good about warning others of some the dangers associated with this condition. But first things first. I'm vowing to myself not to spread my attention out too thinly. Going to make a success out of one first. Then branch out to just the two others. Your thoughts?

Glad to know that you are impressed with the platform. I am sure that you will learn a lot, meet many new people and reach your goals.

Yes, I agree, it is best to focus on one thing at a time. I would suggest you pick the niche that you will be able to write a lot about. The beginning is always the hardest since it takes a bit of hard work to write content, get indexed and traffic. Always easier to pick a topic that you will not only be able to write about but also enjoy doing it. Nothing can be more frustrating when you know you have to add to your blog and have no ideas. It sounds like you already have lots of knowledge about Gout and anxious to learn even more, I would say that it would be a good niche to start with. In addition, the competition is not as high, and you will most likely make progress much faster.

A successful website always belongs to a person with a passion about the topic (niche). Much easier to write about stuff you know, love or feel strong about, than to write about the unknown. Obviously, once your site ranks, get traffic and make a couple of sales, you can then move on to the next one.

Like always, please do not hesitate to shout if you need advice or get stuck, will do my best to help.
