Where we came from
Hello,
Things have been crossing my mind a lot lately, regarding the blogging thing. Blogging is becoming a therapeutic vice for me. I can allow myself to talk freely to no one but this screen and, let my feelings and thoughts out without being criticized or made aware of the flaws and mistakes that I made. Its like I am in this place I used to go, where I could look up in the sky, let my mind drift though the aspects of my life, and make decisions without second guessing if it was the right thing or not. But back then, I don’t think decisions were that pressured as some of the things that are in my life now. So, it isn’t that easy to not second guess for me in this day and age. And now it looks like this is my place, where I look up at the sky. not drift through, but scan through the aspects of my life with more attention to the details and TRY to make a good decision. So I am hoping, while I do these blogs, that something I write about, might help or enlighten someone someday. Or these blogs could go on to not be read and fall away into the infinite black hole. LOL. Anyway….
But I find when I do this while my boyfriend is with me, he tends to get jealous of the attention I give my keyboard and not him. Its almost funny after it starts because he will do something that he knows aggravates me. Ok, I am not going to continue this subject. Moving right along, I find myself being a little lazy these days. I really don’t like to be this way, I am usually moving around reddin’ up (that’s a term my mom used) the house. I am not Martha Stewart, but I am not a slobbitha either. Writing that just made me think of this game I played over the summer this year, West. I had named myself SlayinEmAll because it was a battle game. It is the first time I played that type of game. Eventually, I made my own alliance and gained a number of members before I had no more time to peruse the game any longer. I made myself tell the member that I had to go take a sabbatical from the alliance, make my second in command the owner, and not go back to the game. It was really hard LOL, believe it or not, to walk away. I guess it was a family I bonded with, or a group I joined and was a part of. Because I used to be in some alliances, not have my own in the beginning.
Whew, I got carried away again, thinking of that game. LOL, I did enjoy it very much.(I do believe there was a jealous factor in there). It went against the grain so to speak. But I don’t have to enjoy all of the same things my other half does. Not all of them. And I should be able to do some things that I enjoy, whether the other half thinks it is a waste of time or what their opinion is about the thing you enjoy or that relaxes you. We all have a place where we feel comfortable to do the things we like, whether it is in your mind or physically being somewhere. To be truly happy in a relationship, I strongly believe that we have to be able to do and feel comfortable doing the things that are enjoyed by each person with or without the other one if that is how they feel. In a relationship you have a collection of things you do together better and then you have a collection of things that you do better alone. This could mean anything from cooking to fixing the car or from actions to ideas. It may be different in other relationships but, someone might recognize something similar in theirs while reading this opinions of mine.
I apologize, I really didn’t want to get on this subject. I definitely, have a strong opinion or 50 thousand opinions on the subject of a relationship and anything to do with relationships. And the very first thing about any relationship, whether you have been in it for a long, long time or just starting one, there must be trust!! If you have even the smallest amount of distrust about any little thing about a person, there is no way you can or will ever have a true, without any doubt, bonding relationship. In that relationship, you will always have the constant thoughts, wonders, and already completely humiliating experiences endured that will be haunting you the entire life of the relationship. And that is also in my opinion. You see, like I have said about the times years ago and the times now, there are too many other distractions and options to distract everyone today. The World Wide Web, is the biggest devils playground that so many of us have to keep away from. In so many ways it can be a good thing, but we all know that it can be a very, very bad place. And it is so easily accessible by any age desiring its use.
Oh Boy!! I just realized, this is one of the hottest topics of this decade in my opinion, The Web. The internet, to me, could be one ot the most controversial topics of the last 2 decades. Look how far it has come, One of the biggest scares I know, that was not a natural disaster, that shook almost the whole world because it was connected to time. And time is acknowledged by everyone in the world. The internet plays a part in just about every single person in the world. I would say the only ones that it does not affect or plays a part in their life is any human that is undiscovered or somehow someone was raised with no knowledge of it in a place where it was never seen in a place called…. oops got carried away. LOL Just kidding, I really cant say for certain what sort of people wouldn’t know about the world wide web in some form or fashion today.
Some of the really good aspects of the internet, in my opinion, are the things you can learn and how quickly you can find information on anything you want to learn about. And the bonus is there is tons and tons of information on there that you can only touch a tiny piece of. The web is unfathomable when it comes to how much is there and I don’t believe that anyone today can even think about knowing or even try to know all that is on there. In my opinion, it is impossible. But there is a lot and in it you can find a way to do things like go back to school and get that degree you always wanted, but on there you can do it in you old sweet time, on any day you want, morning, noon or night. It, and I am going to refer to it when I write of the internet, is awake and at your beck and call whenever you want it. There are some different ways of obtaining the web, which is another benefit to us, in the way it can be accessed for our personal use. One way is you have to pay for it, that is not so beneficial. Another benefit that we have is when we can go to a public facility that offers free wifi. Or there is the not so good way of having access to it by stealing or getting on someone else’s paid access to the internet without their consent. Pictures or illustrations are so plentiful on there for just about anything you can think of that can be illustrated or shown as a picture.
The internet has so many different uses for today’s world. It can look up anything you want to know, it can pay bills, it can draw, it can let you talk to a person all the way around the world and the list goes on and on. But with every good there is a bad and this is no different. It can be a very big liability in ones life also, like for instance, it can take your innocence, it can take your money and it can take your dignity and that list can go on and on as well. The thing is, it is a tool. It can be used for a good purpose and it can be used for a bad purpose, it is the decision of the one initiating and continuing the search and the completion of the job you are requesting it to do.
My mom has said many time that she does not like the computer, which means anything to do with web. At least, that is what I think she means and this excludes typing. She is from the time when life was simple and you only had what your parents basically taught you unless you were a very outgoing, starving for knowledge of everything and had to know, kind of person (trying to describe an imaginable person, hee hee) living simple was what most knew then. They didn’t even have a tv in some cases, let alone one in every room like some have it today. There was a house phone that was used when you had to make a call. or needed to talk to someone on the phone. But before you could use it, you had to make sure someone else was not on the line for you were on a party line back then. There were only so many telephone lines back then and people had to use the line that was provided in their area. It all depended on the area how many people were on the line and when they got off the line before you could use it. There was no answering machine or anything to leave a voicemail in or on then, so the phone would just keep ringing and ringing until you hung up or somehow it would disconnect. But never the less, you would have to call back if you needed the person on the other end or you would have to see them in person if they didn’t pick up the receiver. If no one answered, it either meant that they were not home or they decided they were not answering their phone at that time and ignore it. Because you couldn’t push a button to silence it when it rang, the only way to end the ringing was to pull the cord out, answer it, or wait for them to hang up. Another of a not so good reason why the phone would not be answered, is if something was wrong, or something was preventing them from answering it. There were occasions that some would think that something was wrong back in that time, if you didn’t answer the phone.
Anyway, that is a subject for the, back in my day blog. LOL. Well I don’t want to bend your ear off, and in this case make your eyes crossed, so I am going to get going for now.
Ps. I just went to write the title down in my memoirs and realized, once more, that I strayed away from my the subject of my title. LOL. That would be me…..hee hee 🙂
