Sun doesn't get boring or annoying, however if you are not a good self starter it is easy to let it impact your actual productivity. I find that the my most productive days are the dreary ones here in Victoria (as it rains 200+ days per year).

It's not boring here I love the nice weather and lots of things to do. You can be on the beach and then 45 mins in the snow wow so fun

Brother, it's now so wet and cold here in England seemingly most of the time I'm starting to understand what it must feel like to be a north Atlantic fish. I grew up in CA, left for 20 years, went back for 15, then left for good, too expensive. I love the weather there, but like you said, it's boring, and always basically the same. My sister was obsessed with the weather channel, and I always told her, "just look out the window, it'll be the same tomorrow". I'm now in CO, much more to my liking, real summers, and mild winters, but there are definitely changes in the weather, sometimes all in one day, I love it. I guess I'm not the majority though, since half the world is looking for someplace warm to live. I agree with you also, that people are sooo much nicer, and happier, when the weather changes to spring, myself included.
